Stolen from Reddit. Multiplayer info:
Two primary games modes. 1) Co-op Assault: Both teams compete in PVE for points, highest score wins. 2) Co-op Warfare(PVPVE): Both teams compete in PVE for points, but you can PVP in this mode for additional points. The more score you rack up, the more you're worth when you get shot down.
After a game, you can be hit with a Scramble or Emergency Sortie mission. Scramble: your team must face an enemy ace squadron(PVE). Emergency Sortie: All 8 of you do a big PVE against things like the Chandelier and Arsenal Bird.
In game earnable currency(ZOLL?) for purchases in an in-game store. "Ace Coins" seems to be the premium purchaseable currency.
Battle/Ace Passes last for two months, "all aircraft will be available for purchase separately after the season ends" (unclear if it means with $ or in-game currency, unclear if this includes all other items.)
100 person lobbies(like PUBG lobbies) where you can interact and emote with your avatar. You can visit an arcade to play Namco classics, a supply shop with gacha boxes, and a jukebox to listen to "music from past games."

First one I ever played was 7 and I put like 200 hours in that
@Cherrywine001 i wasn’t really that lost starting with 7 I don’t think any of the games are directly connected but obviously some backstory knowledge might make it more enjoyable, but the stories are generally the same formula where you start as a rookie at the onset of a war and get more clout and aura throughout the missions
