After sitting on it for a while, i find it weird how every insider/reporter around was claiming the same thing about this switch pro having everything the oled version ended up having but also better hardware and they ended up being wrong. When even nikkei and bloomberg get it wrong its extremely weird. We shall see but im not gonna keep thinking about this tired topic again until nintendo themselves say anything on the matter
Swapped the joysticks in my joycons, it fixed the drift
Joycons are kind of difficult to get into but after you do it once it’s simple, and the spare joysticks I bought seem to be the same exact same as the OG Switch ones. They look and feel identical

eh it kinda makes sense, they’re probably just making multiple units with the oled screen and insiders/leakers only knew about the pro model

That's the only thing i can think of, they got the info mixed up, but the more powerful system must be still far out, weird to confuse them like this. Oh whatever, less money to spend this year at least
I’ll get the OLED model if there is a good trade in program for the OG Switch. I’ll spend $200 for the bigger screen because I do mostly play in handheld mode now, and if it has the same battery as the revised Switch I can deal with that since I don’t even have that right now. Also it’s nice that I don’t have to change accessories as well. With that being said it’s not worth paying $350 for.
idk guys, i feel like insiders knew about the OLED model and then wrongfully assumed hardware changes that were never revealed, even to the insiders
the next model will most likely be a full change to the tablet inside and out (thinner, lighter) as well as joycons that fit that new tablet but joycons that they can market as UNDRIFTABLE and with back handles (akin to 3rd party) to make up for being overall thinner in width
itll have to run everything the OG model does, but have some exclusives and bring a fully redesigned OS interface to both the OG and 2.0 model
id expect total bluetooth support in the hardware and software too, and a MUCH better wifi chipset (since apple iphone wifi chips are insanely good)
and last but not least we need dedicated 60fps with varying resolutions depending on the game and who's making it, with Nintendo games hopefully reaching 1440p
Like someone said earlier , this would make more sense if it was an option for the lite version . The most important feature caters to handheld so i don’t get it
Nintendo does this s*** all the time 3ds, 3ds xl, new 3ds xl this comes as no surprise to me at all. Glad I got a lite so I can buy this now
This should’ve been the original switch that launched.
Nintendo does the bare minimum and their fans continue to eat out of the palms of their hands
But then how would they sell you a second switch!? Lol
Switch v1: 2017
Switch v2 & Lite: 2019
Switch OLED: 2021
I don’t see the “Pro” coming out until at least 2023 tbh
At this point in assuming the pro is Nintendo’s next console.

True, but it’s unheard of with a main console.

Yeah but this there first successful hybrid. If the Wii U did gang busters I’m sure they would’ve done it too. I think moving forward Nintendo will just stick to this hybrid thing and we should probably expect things like this going forward.
Nintendo presents Nintendo’s Super Nintendo Switch Pro (New model) OLED edition and the New Nintendo Switch Pro (OLED model)
Y'all kidding but what we got is much better than Nintendo Switch XL or New Nintendo Switch or something like that

yeah but it’s kind of like they did nothing instead of making a choice
They kept the same name, just added a parenthetical
It’s lazy but maybe it means (oled model) is coming to the lite as well, which would be kinda cool

Makes it more easy to identify imo, we know they was gonna come up with some stupid ass name like New Nintendo Switch that wasnt gonna be "New" anymore in 2 years
