Podcasts are terrible man
I generally walk my dog about 2 hours a day right now and I started looking for podcasts to listen to. And they’re bad. They’re not good. They are not good for the soul.
For one, the training and “science based” lifting podcasts are all full of s***. Dudes like “we’ve learned so much in the last ten years” no man. We’ve known all this for decades. The Russians were right decades ago
You listen for 90 minutes and it’s like okay cool I learned absolutely nothing
Anyway I’m just going to walk to audiobooks now
do you like any music besides hip hop? if so just go on youtube you can listen to an hour and longer of dj mixes of edm or dancehall music sets
Short gym session and a walk, tomorrow 25k run planned. Time to do the work

That’s why you just gotta have your favorite 3-4 albums you can always resort back to any time and they always hit while lifting
outside a huge gym playlist
Or listen to fitness content like Jeff nippard/mountain dog

I do and I have my playlists and albums I’ll listen to when lifting or running but there’s just something about listening to a speech, lecture, or just talking that pairs well with something monotonous like walking for me @Valentine

I understand this but the fact everyone is able to make one f***s it up
Rather listen to 20 Arnold interviews than these podcast creators talking nonsense

Ya that’s why I’m just going to switch to walking to Audiobooks. There’s nothing else for me to learn with regards to training tbh no point in listening or watching any of that s*** now

Try 3D muscle journey podcast and report back. I felt the same way until I gave them a listen

This is the move. I enjoy listening to video essays about things not related to the gym. Too much info out there rehashing stuff we already know
Mfw u end up OMADaying it hilariously not by choice
Aint no good diet like poverty ill tell ya that much
So did a training run of 25k today and that went great, legs feel alright. After dinner dip never been this big though, so I can only imagine how this must go after a marathon
Decent chest pump. My bro told me I should do less weight and more reps for definition instead of more weight less reps so I tried it today. The pump not the same 🙁

audiobooks are absolutely undefeated for runs and workouts. podcasts are officially dead as a medium. I listened to almost 20 books this year alone lmao
someone asked me my leg workout a while ago. 4 sets each of seated leg curl, hack squat, stair calf raises, and seated leg press. im worried about knees so im taking it easy with my squats but I do a bunch of weight on the press like 330. I get barely any pump to the point I dont even know what leg pump looks like. theres some quad definition as I go through it but thats it

Facts. I don’t even get the point of doing light weight more reps. 6-8 reps heavier weight and the pump is immaculate. Wasted my time today

It’s an old wrong train of thought
Some idea that higher reps provide definition but it’s just not true

It’s nice on a rest day but yeah bordering on junk volume if you go too low
