ughh im not tryna count cals but i am eating clean

It’s a pain in the ass at first but you get used to it

It’s easy cause I developed a routine and just eat the same s*** everyday

    • Egg whites, turkey sausage, Greek yogurt, blueberries for breakfast (fiber in the blueberries makes you full till lunch)
    • Tuna or Chicken for lunch with chopped bell peppers (replaces the “crunch” for rice i wanted)
    • Protein bar, fruit, for snack
    • Chicken & broccoli for dinner
    • Protein shake post workout
    • Popcorn if I want a snack at night

    when does one deload

Depends on what your body says

Normally I don’t really feel the need to deload. But being 8 months into a cut…my body forces it.

I basically have my training set up in 4 week blocks. I’ll do a light week between every 4 week block now. First few months of the cut I never felt the need to but the cumulative fatigue is getting to me now.

Nothing tbh I feel like I might die mid workout ……. But you reach a nirvana state afterwards, I like that part a ton

Last year I would fast all day and then go to the gym after work before eating. Ate everything from 7-10

That feeling you’d get towards the end of the fast in the gym was primal

Your body yearning for nutrition, giving your mind a heightened sense of awareness as your body wants you to search for food

Good times. I’ll still workout fasted first thing in the morning but not late in the day. I’m enjoying breakfast.

    Tangentially related

    Podcasts are terrible man

I generally walk my dog about 2 hours a day right now and I started looking for podcasts to listen to. And they’re bad. They’re not good. They are not good for the soul.

For one, the training and “science based” lifting podcasts are all full of s***. Dudes like “we’ve learned so much in the last ten years” no man. We’ve known all this for decades. The Russians were right decades ago

You listen for 90 minutes and it’s like okay cool I learned absolutely nothing

Anyway I’m just going to walk to audiobooks now
