1996 BRLthe movie felt straight up like the games a lot of the time, in a good way
especially when the Damage Control goons & The Hand, The Hand using improved weapons compared to the goons especially!!!Web grenade in the movie is a gadget in the first game and the scene where he's fighting guys on a rooftop, at one point (I think he's dodging ninja stars?) he does the exact same dodge you can do in the games
Aug 11·edited·4 repliesI don’t understand why this game is so s*** on, I went back to the first Spider-Man and it’s f***ing boring compared to this AND Miles Morales. The story is incredible but the gameplay? That s*** doesn’t touch MM or this and I don’t understand how anyone can feel otherwise.
The side quests are better, the challenge missions are better, the world events are better (until you get to the end, idk what they were thinking with that s***), the combat is better, exploration and world building is better, customization is better. The only thing that is better in the first game is the story.
I think if people actually went back and played it after playing this instead of just talking out of their ass from what they think they remember, it would be majority agreed up that this is a better sequel in every way except the plot line (I also don’t have a problem with the story either but that’s whatever, people b**** about everything now).

LMFAO TOLD YALL . I was not hating either I was basing on gameplay we saw and reading every preview . Also I bought it at launch on disc and gave it away to a friend

Some baffling decisions made . It’s not terrible at all though . I liked final fantasy xvi more that year even if side quest were mixed

2 is an improvement in every way except the story but you'll see people on here exaggerate and call it one of the worst sequels of all time

taking away suit powers and instead having universal upgrades is a design decision that is still crazy to me

Got snubbed at the VGA. Won awards at DICE and Annie awards. It had its issues it wasnt terrible. Certain design choices like removing individual suit powers rubbed some the wrong way. It was a refinement of things in spider Man 1. But 5 years later from spider man 1 and 3 years after Miles some wanted a bit more the second half of story didnt land with some.
Its still a 8 out of ten . Many journalist and people have openly said their issues with it or their feelings on it as time has passed . nothing about it is awful
