Oh I beat it already I’m on my NG+ run and I forgot how I only used only 1 of his suits the whole time
The worst part about this game is @ShintaroKago being absolutely right before release that this was gonna be some s***
only for wolverine to come around people yet again act like I am crazy

The main two are fine
The hoodie with different colour jackets on top and basketball shorts hits for me just because it’s into the spiderverse but it never really makes sense for the story
And I weirdly like the one that’s a zip up hoodie with camouflage combat pants
But yeah every single other one has never once been touched by me
I saw that I was hollering
this all sounds too good to be true i’m not huffing this hopium

grain of salt but fun to think about .

Reddit dude admitted his thread was fake
“I’m just super excited to show you guys what my team has been working on, so I’m going to leak some info early!” Lol
Also that portion about Peter’s anti venom suit… that’s that signature insomniac lazy writing right there. Makes me think this is legit. Game sounds like it might actually be cool but I’ll believe it when I see it
I feel what you're saying on here a lot about modern game mechanics vs the games we got 20 years ago but you also need to accept that most of these mainstream AAA games aren't going to look or play like this
They want these games to be accessible as possible, so even casuals and kids can play and finish them. No way Insomniac's Marvel games will play like this, the camera alone would alienate so many players
If you want gameplay like this these days, it won't be in your AAA open world games. It will be in a game where the combat is the focus, like a Ninja Gaiden or a DMC. Or a game with a smaller production budget like Hi-Fi Rush or Sifu

Its not about looking or playing exactly like this its about in some way advancing your combat system to have any level of creativity so the user can do unique combos and display their skill. Which keeps the games from getting boring. Nor am I saying they should play exactly like this
Onimusha just droppped, Phantom Blade Zero coming up. Final Fantasy XVI, Ninja Gaiden I loved in many ways. Yes reach the common denomniator but again thats the limit of only one developer handling hero games at a time we used to have many devs creating hero games that had different combat systems, combos, traversals and mechanics.
Will be interesting how Wolverine reviews shake out on thursday

Wdum exactly by unique combos? Because Insomniac's Spiderman does allow for some creativity with the moves you have at your disposal + gadgets + suit upgrades. You can play the game just by spamming Square/Triangle and pressing Circle to dodge when the indicator comes up, but players who know what they're doing will be sliding under enemies, doing wall leaps, web throwing enemies, swing kicking enemies etc. Is it as free flowing as that clip you posted? No, but their games do provide options and variety during combat

There is some variety for sure wouldnt hurt to be even more incentive to do cool combos vs mashing. I miss when suits had unique powers or abilities like game 1 personally. Thats my biggest knock

The games are too easy for sure, I got the 100+ combo trophy in Miles during the intro on the hardest difficulty
2 was a step in the right direction though, some challenging enemies and bosses in there
I think the suit ability system in 1/Miles was flawed and didn't mind that they changed it
You might have to wear a suit you don't like just because you want the ability. My gripe with how it worked in 2 is that you're limited to 1 option out of 2 for each input. Should've let players freely assign whichever 4 of the 8 abilities they want

This looks like a more modern/streamlined version of the clip you posted. The essence of combat as Spiderman is still there, just adapted for what games look and play like now
