what I did is cop a smartphone with a black and white eink display. it's slow and painful to use for certain things but it has every function a modern smartphone has except a nice screen so any social media based on Scrolling is just unenjoyable and easy to stop. it basically neutralizes all the negative aspects of modern smartphones imo. now the app that I use the most instead of reddit or youtube is my ereader app and i'm averaging over 2hrs reading everyday and 30min everything else

Only thing that I think could really put someone off is the size. Definitely the biggest smartphone I've ever held. I got kinda big hands and with the size of pockets in mens pants it's never an issue.

Swear AI is the most useless s*** going, biggest fad in technology yet.

It’s so forced yet doesn’t actually do anything of substance or particularly well.

AI chat button in WhatsApp which you can’t disable for what?.

Copilot being plugged into every part of Windows and MS Office (like Teams integration all over again and they didn’t even finish that properly).

I’ve turned off Apple Intelligence and have no interest in using it because in all the demos it looks s*** plus OS26 is a complete dumpster fire.

Dunno if it’s just me but AI seems to be the cherry on top on a worsened overall software experience in the last 2-3 years. All of the major tech companies have just completely dropped the ball.

Chatgpt is really good at debugging code ngl. Saving me a lot of headaches
