I agree, meaning I think AI will devalue the internet for people like us. by ppl like us i mean forum dwellers who enjoy human text-based interaction and debate. the AI bot revolution will hurt the ability to have meaningful/fun human interaction online.

AI could make the internet better for some folk. the regular type folk who don't go online to be in a community of strangers arguing with each other. but for us forum dwellers, it's possible/probable the internet has already peaked and is now in a decline.

this is what i was talking about with irreversible processes. once AI reaches a certain level of progress it will be nearly impossible to undo. but this sort of science is hard to stop, because theres a huge incentive, and in general the idea of computer science as a field would naturally lead to these sort of technologies
