Swear AI is the most useless s*** going, biggest fad in technology yet.

It’s so forced yet doesn’t actually do anything of substance or particularly well.

AI chat button in WhatsApp which you can’t disable for what?.

Copilot being plugged into every part of Windows and MS Office (like Teams integration all over again and they didn’t even finish that properly).

I’ve turned off Apple Intelligence and have no interest in using it because in all the demos it looks s*** plus OS26 is a complete dumpster fire.

Adobe added an AI assistant to f***ing Acrobat

Dunno if it’s just me but AI seems to be the cherry on top on a worsened overall software experience in the last 2-3 years. All of the major tech companies have just completely dropped the ball.

Every video I seen out of CES, has every corporate endorsement of throwing AI on any platform or product regardless of how absurd and pointless its use is.

    thinkin I paid for it

    I can support that

that and translation are pretty much a thing of the past at this point lol

It’s insane. Sometimes I’m scrolling Twitter then realize I’m in a whole other countries native convo about something I’d usually have avoided due to the manual copy+paste routine.

Google already used ia on both search and translate tools tbh

the only upside of this stupid widespread use of it is that people might get so fed up they start to disengage with large portions of online culture. i know im not alone in losing interest in all types of social media outside of forums like this. got me reading more books than ever before outside of when i was crushing chapter books in elementary school

Didn’t make the link to AI yet, but I indeed noticed how many times I’ve been hearing ‘It's not x, it's y’ recently

When the conglomerates decide to come together

There is no bubble, there is just consolidation to the big players taking all the AI real estate and chips/datacenters.

The pro ai discourse covering the entirety of reddit is such sad astroturfing.

I cannot believe people think all those posters/commenters defending AI are genuine, and that it's actually changing public opinion by making it an "us vs them" situation
