This is fanfiction man!!
fictional movers would have been the move
So the thread about the roommates was a lie?

“As if that weren't enough, they rummaged through our boxes, eating snacks and even eating expired raviolis without bothering to clean up. They started breaking our smaller furniture and laughing about it. Who does that?”
Bro this some s*** that bad guys in a 90s movie would do

No, I have roommates at my apartment by my university. I have an apartment at UVA and I live with my mom because she can’t do pay all of the bills on her own.
That's the problem of paying rent in two places. Financial aid will only cover so much. It’s a 1 hour drive so I come home on the weekends but I can’t pay rent at two places.

For paying rent at two places? There’s no way I’m commuting 1hr away everyday. Coming home very weekend already takes a toll on my car.
Paying rent at two places is another reason im in credit card debt. Everything ties together and it’s very draining…

Stop paying rent at 2 places
Thanks for this reply. I started saving at 17, got my first credit card, and I've been financially secure for a few years. It's just when 2022 came, I had to pay rent at my university and at home which caused my funds to drop.
Like during the pandemic I had over $20k in savings because I had four jobs. I've been living with my mom my entire life because it's awesome being able to split the bills and the rent is high in Virginia.
I tried giving helpful advice but you likely won't excel much if you live with your mom. Her problems and decisions will always affect you. But do you!

Maybe if you just stayed at your on campus apartment with people your age like a normal 20 something you wouldn’t have to pay 2 rents or commute
You are a grown man CHOOSING to live with his f***ing mom in college when you already have a place on campus. You clearly don’t have a lot going on up there
Can’t abandon my mom
It's not your responsibility to take care of someone else (if you don't have kids). This has nothing to do with how much you love your mom. She existed long before you were here, and she will find a place to stay. Her survival skills extends far beyond yours. Your responsibility is taking of yourself so that in the future, when you get your s*** together, you can help whomever you want to.
