People that react this way to an artist saying something I dont take of fans of the genre and art as much because dictating how someone should feel is odd to me. Especially from people that dont make music. Vince has called out the streaming cycle devaluing music his entire career. him not choosing his favorite song he makes less than a penny for isnt shocking in any conceivable way.

By people you mean Twitter and by react you mean respond to his antagonisms. You get the fans you deserve.

like this is an absurdly dumb take from anyone who listens to his music to act like Vince was just a gangbanger who saw a get rich quick scheme in music.

i think there’s definitely a middle ground where yes he’s been presenting that personality for a while, but it shouldn’t negate engaging with his perspective. it’s just people are engaging with his perspective from an offended lense

I think both sides of the conversation don’t allow for the middle ground where a conversation can occur about what he’s saying
