Sooo…is that a yes? Keep in mind, girls as young as 9 can get pregnant

Thread isnt bout abortion and neither was my comment so don’t derail it

If women can kill a pregnancy at will then Men should have the liberty to choose their involvement wit the child

U think there isn’t niggas who wanted to keep a child but the women proceeded wit the Abortion, now if roles are reversed and he ran off on the sucker he’s gettin hit wit child support

Yeah, but still. It comes down to the right one has to their own body

Women have the right to an abortion because they’re the person who has to have their entire body’s change for 9 months (and maybe even long after)

Women have the right to reject an abortion because the procedure involves their bodies as well

Men have the right to use protection, discuss the potential scenario beforehand with their partners, and if all else fails, stay out of the kid’s life and support financially

The question here isn't about having control over one's own body. It's that one gender effectively has the right to forgo parenthood if it doesn't suit their life plans but the other doesn't.

    1. I mean that's kinda what OP is saying. Women have an option to deny motherhood if their life situation (financial situation included) isn't great, men don't and that's unfair in his eyes.

    2. If the option of aborting was offered and she declined, then it means that she was willing to go through this and doesn't mind the physical toll, this becomes her choice.

    1. But they do. Child support exists

    2. This is also not true. Even women who get intentionally pregnant mind the physical toll, but beyond that, there are multiple factors that come into play for a woman to carry a child to term

Yeah it's f***ed up but what's more f***ed up is a child growing up without a father in their life

I feel like the rate of single motherhood would plummet if women understood that men have the option to forgo legal obligations to the kid lol

Not something I support at all though

    1. No they don't. Child support assumes fatherhood on the man..... and you're not dumb so you know this, so why are you being obtuse here?

    2. If abortion was offered as an option to her and she refused it, then she's totally responsable for the regular physical hardships that come with pregnancy. But either way, this conversation has nothing to do with this, since OP says he's all for abortion.

  • I used to think like this when I was 21,but already at 24 I knew that was a stupid idea. You'll grow out of it eventually, hopefully.

    Well
Historically speaking women were/are supposed to be the gatekeepers

They used to not let you smash unless you were a good man that would stick around. Now, they will know full and damn well that the guy they messing with will not stick around but still mess with them anyways

Like, women used to only let the upper echelon type of dudes (in terms of having a high proclivity to be a good dad) have sex, but by letting low life’s get them pregnant and then keeping the baby even though he said he won’t be around... it’s f***ing up society

Men have always been this way though and still are. They haven’t changed. Women’s selection process is really the only thing that has

I feel like the whole argument here assumes that abortion is a “get out of jail free card” for women like there can’t be a significant emotional toll

By going with op’s opinion, it gives fathers an option to not take responsibility. This is unfair because there is absolutely no way that a woman can avoid responsibility for an unwanted pregnancy. They either have to give birth or go through a medical procedure.

    Thread full of deadbeats.

Some of yall talking about "unfairness", but you know whats really unfair? That only women get pregnant. It doesn't matter if you use condoms and if neither of you parents want the child.

She is the one making the decision because she is the person having the baby. Once you nut in a girl you better be ready for the consequences.

What can you do to avoid this? Limit your s***activity only with people you are willing to deal with, get a vasectomy or dont have s***at all. Your "opinion" doesn't matter anymore once you get a girl preggo, be a man and take full responsibility of your actions.

I feel like your whole argument stands on just ignoring or downplaying how big of an advantage that choice is for a specific gender though.

A 16 year old girl who made a mistake can still salvage her adult life if she wants and go on to become educated and flourish. A 16 year old boy who made a mistake will have to get a s***ty job and waste the next 20 years of his life at that spot.

I mean I don't agree with OP but you can't just wave away this discrepancy as if it's not something that deserves to be discussed lol

i get what you're saying op.

if yall are f***ing with protection there obviously a mutual agreement to prevent a child.

if the girl gets knocked up and develops an emotional attachment, she suddenly has full authority to forgo that agreement without the goodwill or consent of the father.

the father now has the full burden of another human being on the whim on another persons emotions

but yeah, the title automatically paints your argument in a bad light
