You guys aren’t getting that OP is arguing against the double standard between the accountability men have to have vs women, yall are parroting the double standard itself because it sounds good rather than giving a logical rebuttal (which is why this thread is still needlessly going)

So I’ll give the logical explanation: the reason the double standard exists is because women don’t have the same role as men do when it comes to parenting. Neither biologically or socially. The man automatically takes more responsibility because he had to go out of his way to insert something into her in order for a child to be made; the woman really didn’t have to do anything initially besides take some d***

So for a guy to go out of his way to risk impregnating, then wanna go back on that…is not the same as a girl not wanting to be a parent after taking some d*** and getting knocked up by a dude with weak pullout game. Abandonment from either the man or woman is morally s***ty tho

How was it more active and voluntary? An accidental pregnancy is not one parties fault. My ex was riding me and literally refused to get off when I said I was about nut, and this has happened more than once with other females. But guess if I ain't want that kid I should just go f*** myself?

I get what OP tryna say but no

1. Being a deadbeat is never the answer. If you don’t want to be in the kid’s life the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM should be supporting financially

2. The difference between the mom not wanting the kid and the dad not wanting the kid is that the mom has to carry the kid for 9 months

We’re talking about equal opportunity to abort mission. If the woman has an out via abortion, why does the man have no out? The man just has to deal with whatever choice the woman makes.

If she wants an abortion, and you want her to keep it, you have no real say. If she wants to keep it, and you want her to get an abortion, you have no real say. You just have to be ready to pay up, even if you made it clear you didn’t want any part in raising it if she got pregnant and kept the baby.

Women can do what they want with their body but why should the man be liable regardless, if he expressed he’s not interested in raising a child very early on?
