not watching trailers for most things is honestly one of the best decisions i've made for a lot of my media consumption. i'll watch one or two if it's something i don't know about at all and it intrigues me or i'll just go in blind.
you have no expectations and no prejudices. you just soak it all in and see it unfold.
and if it's stuff I know i'm going to watch for sure then i won't even bother looking at anything.
A lot of trailers reveal too much or just have the wrong tone of the movie.
It’s just more fun to me and more of an experience. Especially since I don’t need to be sold on a lot of these because it’s directors or writers I want to support. People will over a***yze trailers or discuss them to death then movie drops and it comes and goes . Honestly I wish certain movies were like “ no trailer you all will see it blind “ . Imagine if they did that for endgame

Exactly. The experience is so much better. You don't have any previous movie shots in your head either. Everything is fresh in your mind.
Obviously marketing is important and stuff like Endgame will be marketed to death. I don't see that changing anytime soon, but as an individual I've just avoided most of it for these past few years.
Endgame I did the same since I knew I was gonna watch it anyways.
Haven't watch anything for the final Star Wars movie so that will be nice.
It's organic. You sit and watch and form everything on your own.

It’s my goal with matrix 4 but inevitably people will discuss trailer and spill surprises

going in blind into movies is the best. I've been doing that a lot lately & my watching experiences are great
Blade Trinity was sorta enjoyable.
Dark Knight and TDKR fight scenes are meh
Still haven't watched a Harry Potter film besides chamber of secrets
Sofia Coppola's performance in godfather 3 is overhated
Die hard>=Die hard 4>>>die hard 2 and 3
Traffic (The d*** film from early 2000s) was boring asl
Nicholson Joker > Heath ledger

how is the harry potter one a hot take

The TDK one is even less, literally everyone hates Nolan’s action
2001 is a great background movie, and i appreciate the achievement but s*** it drags so much
It really is a theatre movie, If you know what I mean. I saw it for the first time a few months ago I n a theatre and it was one of the best movie going experiences I’ve ever had
Suspira 2018 is better movie than the original also Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is Tarantino's best movie.
This is an insanely hot take and also not true at all

this
saw it in theatres during the 50th anniversary and it was amazing. even the intermission was great, the theatre wasn't packed but everyone was talking with each other for the 15 minutes. never had that type of experience in my life before
tv shows are one of the worst things to happen, its a lazy way of writing most of the times and its rare to find something that is written well.

Cant the same be said about movies
mmmm i dont think so ... it's really hard to find a tv show which feels complete. to me, it feels like most tv shows are written without there being a specific ending and direction it wants to go in.

Are you lumping mini series in with ‘tv shows’ ?

Sounds like a soapie. TV shows these days can have great source material to mine from (acclaimed books and allat s***)

Wdym? I find TV shows on average way more compelling than a lot of movies in recent years. This is the golden age of television.

its just a personal preference, this is not to say there are not any amazing tv shows. some of my favourite story telling is from tv shows, but in general i think it's much much harder to create a movie that tells a complete story in 2 hours then a tv show with one hour long episodes.
If you are talking about a movie and all you can talk about is the color palette and soundtrack then it probably wasn't that good
the de-aging cg in Irishman was distractingly bad
The scene where De Niro stomped that guy out in front of the shop
