  • I kinda wanna somewhat extend this to that post Yeezus WLR sound that has turned into the che Osamason type beats lol

Very few beats u hear that fundamentally couldn't have come out 2011-2018 or at least a super close predecessor

There’s a very obvious difference and progression between osamason type beats and the average beat you’d hear in 2018

It's flanderization of that SoundCloud loosie super amateur upcoming rapper djphatt random nigga paid for a post type song lol

Super abrasive digital melodies, random ass trapaholics type soundbytes, the only thing that changes is the vocals and bass way more distorted

We’re on like the 3rd wave of trap. I can’t think of many movements in music that made it to a 4th iteration.

It will be interesting in like 20 years to see if there’s a trap renaissance

Placing limitations on your enjoyment of music based off the time period it came from is stupid to me

What do you have in mind

Seems like a big factor is that whenever a new trend does emerge, it gets ran into the ground so quick that using it past it's prime is an instant throw back to that mini era..like sexy drill cash Cobain type beats which I thought was gonna be a much bigger staying wave or early 2020's rage/ctm808 type music lol

  • eh they have evolved a lot

  • None of my business I’ll let you guys figure it out

  • That video of that one nigga rapping like a mosquito becomes more and more true everyday because that's where we are headed it seems with these young niggas. As far as mainstream and wide appeal it's been the same production since 2018ish with the exception of Carti

I don’t think it’s slowing down in that sense, I just think it’s running out of places to go. We’ve hit peak saturation so to speak
