I'm probably gonna finally play Trails beyond the Horizon after I finish it since I feel like it should be announced some time after Sky 2nd releases

I think I saw Horizon is/was on sale recently. Only like 25% off, but it's something lol. But yeah, was gonna say, you'll probably want to finish up Horizon before December since I'd imagine that's when Horizon 2's gonna be revealed and it's going to spoil the f*** out of Horizon

Just finished Act 1 of Trails beyond the Horizon.

Idk why but I completely forgot that Nina shows up at the end of Kuro 2 and revealed herself to Van. In her connect event she kept mentioning "worlds" as if she wasn't originally part of this one so I'm pretty interested to see whats going on with her. I'm assuming she plays a big role since I think thats her on the cover of the game.

I think Agnes gonna play some important role in this game, they keep mentioning her Birthday and the fact that its the same day as the launch (I think?) means some crazy s\*\*\* gonna happen to her

Not much happening in Act 1, theres a lot of teasing for this rocket launch and honestly thats what I'm really hyped for and tryna see right now.

Also Emilia has so much aura, I want her to be playable man. That one song they played when they introduced her at Bermottis bar is hard asf. Speaking of playable characters, playable Jorda is pretty cool and I think this the first time Rixia is playable in this arc? I genuinely can't stop laughing every time her absurd model is on screen though, Falcom are some gooners

Finally back on trails 1st, finally finding a groove with the game that's kept my attention

Morale really makes fights trivial because enemies would just knock your clock before that

Yeah the beginning of the these games is usually when difficulty as at its highest cause you don’t have much to work with.

What difficulty are you playing on?

I started on hard was gonna knock some trophies out on first playthrough, got humbled at that damn farm, so I'm just running on normal now

Cant imagine getting through this on hard with 6-800 health and enemies doing 200 or more a hit, and summoning back up

I beat the game on Nightmare and funny enough, the farm was probably the hardest part of the game. Spent like an hour trying to beat that bullshit encounter

That being said, I would recommend starting the first few trails game you play on normal regardless just to get familiar with the combat

Fortunately you're past the "worst" part of the game. Pacing is a bit slow in Van's first act.

Trails beyond the Horizon Act 1 to Act 2 Van Route

Kevin Route by far my favourite so far even though I haven't seen the other parts yet. The Kevin and Rufus connect event is so beautiful. Ries better be playable on the next game. Also, the end of Kevins first route kinda reveals that there are potentially parallel worlds? It seems like that orbment Professor Hamilton gave Dingo sent him to a different Tharbad or something

Also did not give a f\*\*\* about the Intermission. The dialogue after you defeat the Grim Garten boss was insufferable. We have done these types of speeches too many times for me to care at this point. May as well mention it now but I hate the 2 seconds flashbacks in cutscenes that serve as "Hey you remember this right?". The frequency in which they appear is insane

Started Act 2 on Vans route to get the disappointment out of the way and man.... I have nothing to say about Vans route. This was awful. Falcom needs to make their games shorter, I feel like the halfway points of Falcom games are always the worst. More villains introduced at the final part of this route but I didn’t care because the dialogue between Ixs and the party right before they entered the scene made me want to turn the game off. I also do not care for whatever they are trying to do with Jorga or whatever the f\*\*\* her name is

I'm over here in the Amberl tower, last updated my equipment and what not after the boss fight when you find the ship

Knocked out side quests then proceed with the story. Enemies are level 17, okay I'm level 17, cool

Make it to this boss battle with these three cheating hooligans and I keep dying because the motherfucker get these s***ty rage boost mechanics and spam taking turns, I don't even get the opportunity to heal, even with reduced enemy strength, now I'm being insulted as a gamer. Now they've made it deeper than what it needed to be

Oh once you got to that damn fishing cabin the story locks you in and doesn't let you fast travel, so I presume they wouldn't let me go buy new equipment and s***. I'm just out here joyfully progressing as they clearly want me to do, but then they wanna hit me with this bullshit boss.

Now I gotta take my ass and run back from this tower back to Bose and run back just to put my foot in they ass properly or single target these blue haired f***ers to minimize that rage bullshit

Precisely why I haven't booted it back up again Don't get me wrong, I love the game and the OG, but I don't have the best memories of dealing with stuff like that. Not surprised the difficulty/minor jank still carries over to the remake tbh. My ass used a save editor to go through it as fast as I could and still ran into problems with how the stats work in that game lmao

In my playthrough I spammed Saint to get everyone’s stats up and that should slightly stop them from doing damage that is too crazy and also give you enough speed to heal. Make sure you have the AoE heal available too. Also, when they do rage boost, have Joshua use his S-Craft since it cancels the attack boost they get from it

Trails beyond the Horizon. 2nd part of Reans route

Reans route saved me. I played Arknights (OG not Endfield) so when the game focused so much on going to space and there being a big mystery around it my first thought was that the sky would be fake or artificial so its really cool to see that this route kinda confirmed it. Very curious to see exactly what the f\*\*\* is going on here. Rean finally got to go up against Shizuna too, I been waiting for this s\*\*\* man lmao
