I can’t keep defending Mac Jones bruh
Hes not really the problem but hes definitely not the answer either. We need changes top to bottom
Next year….
Keep Belichick
Get a new QB
Sign a WR
See if we can find a better OC
Bulk up the o-line
2024 could be the year

Agree with keeping Bill (VERY open to the idea of bringing in a new GM and taking that from him, but I don’t think he would do it).
And obvi I’d LIKE a new QB and an actual #1 WR…but so would like 40-50% of other teams in the league. So unless we get a top 3-5 draft pick, not sure how we realistically get dramatically better at those spots.
As for OC, our offensive talent has definitely been bad, but there’s just no excuse for this BS so BoB def needs to go for a younger offensive mind. Problem is, I’m not sure how many top tier guys would want the job, given what’s happened the last few years and given our talent level…there will definitely be a good number that understand the value of working with Belichick though.
Finally, as for O Line - I definitely would not fire Klemm. He was given a huge steaming pile of dog s*** to work with on the O Line and he came in extremely well regarded. Cutting ties with him without giving him a chance to show what he can do with an average talent group would send a message to future coaches that your career comes to die here. I would put OT behind QB on the draft needs list a mile above WR, and I’ve been preaching our need for good WRs for a long ass time.
I just pray that I don’t have to watch Zappe or Grier start this season. Please for the love of god give me Malik if you bench Mac. Zappe can’t throw to wide open players to save his life, I don’t even know if he’s gonna be an nfl backup
if we lose in las vegas this week... with the bills and dolphins on deck... we are looking at a 1-8 record through 9 games
and I dont think we will beat the raiders

So basically the same things we needed 4 years ago
taking predictions on what draft spot we end up with.
my guess is #7.
We need linemen and Collins aka one of the best linemen in the league a free agent and we haven’t even hosted him or been in contact
Again I’ll say it forever that I love Bill as a coach and he’ll always be the goat and I’ll be sad af if we fire him at the end of the season
But the way he never takes responsibility for his mistakes as GM is so damn immature for a man in his 70s. This the type of excuse making I expect from a teenager. Just say you f***ed up

https://twitter.com/MikeReiss/status/1712106244930932877i dont care about this tbh (meaning i dont care how he answers this question - either way he made the mistake of not re-signing kobi). answering the question one way or another makes no difference.
i think he should own up to it behind closed doors, with ownership/executive management. the media is a different story.
i'm not trying to be a belichick shill but i understand why he answers this way. if he were to say he made a mistake and should have signed meyers instead of juju, it's a shot at one of the players in his locker room. it can only hurt the team to say that.

Ahh ok ok this is very fair.
I guess it’s just frustrating because we only ever see the public side and he never takes responsibility for specific mistakes publicly. However, you’re right that it’s good reasoning. But we’ll never know how he approaches it behind closed doors (in regards to all of the offensive mistakes of the last decade on the management side).
what about russ wilson as our QB next season? obviously i'm talking about the broncos eating most of that salary so we would get him at a relatively cheap price.
i could see it.
If bill isn’t tanking for Caleb at this point
He needs to be fired
Completely let go as gm and coach.
It’s his responsibility to bring long term success to this franchise as it has been since 2001, this is his chance to secure two decades of winning again with Caleb
Looking at the amount of cap space the pats are projected to have, tanking and signing a bunch of fa’s should be able to get him his winning record easily imo
Do the bears draft Caleb Williams if he declares is the question. They could trade that pick but for who? Yeah we should tank but I honestly think if we don’t have the number one overall we’re stuck going lineman or receiver and at best run it back with Mac. Cause I feel like this might be a draft class similar to the one Jones was in where there’s one clear cut franchise qb
I have no desire to root for a tank this year, because I have no desire to have my heart inevitably broken.
However, I certainly will be rooting for Mac/Zappe/Grier to s*** the bed until my man Malik can get QB snaps.

If Fields looks like the first three weeks of the season again, yeah I can see them moving off of him. But if he can turn it around and look competent, maybe they'll think about trading the pick

After tonight idk about that Caleb Williams thing. I’m a USC fan and I just watched my man throw sideways for 4 quarters. Still wondering wtf was that
I’m buying a Malik jersey if he scores a TD today or if he starts at QB next week.
Join me brothers
WOW
Bill really putting Boutte on inactive list again lmao.
I know you're paying him a lot, but idgaf...I would put Parker's garbage ass on inactive after the last month. He'll probably ball out today cause the Raiders defense is such garbage, but that doesn't mean anything.
