When is Mac going to stop being coddled by the organization? This is who he is. Why does he get the benefit of the doubt? Because he’s a first round pick? That doesn’t cut it.

When Mac Jones was first drafted he was in the perfect situation. Everyone went on about how he went to a stable organization with good coaching and stable ownership. He looked decent as a rookie, but the truth is Mac has not been good since week 10 of 2021. There is always an excuse. The talent of the skill positions, the coaching, the offensive line etc. (I’m not saying the skill position players or offensive line are good by any means, but why is Mac never held accountable?)

When do we finally acknowledge the truth and admit that Mac Jones is not good? He has never had a signature win or shown a flash of brilliance. He’s not a great leader, he has little to no arm talent, and he becomes jittery at the first sign of pressure. His greatest strength was supposed to be his brain, yet he consistently makes bone headed decisions. He doesn’t inspire any confidence when the ball is in his hands. He’s a frustrating player to watch.

Maybe Mac can salvage his career, but it won’t be here. I don’t think the guy is on the roster, but come next season this team needs to show Mac the door. Kraft and Bill need to look towards the future of the franchise.
