  • so you drive the exact speed limit

  • B**** ass nigga still doubling down

  • Niggas got road rage itt

  • shaleirose

Nah my problem is when I am excessively speeding in the left lane, and some dumbass behind me is on my bumper and flashing me expecting me to move

Like I'm already going well over the speed limit, how fast do you want me to go?

Just move over and get back in the left lane after they pass. All you are doing is making the 100 mph reckless driver behind you angry and we know how road rage goes

I've learned that it's not worth being "right" while driving. You can lose you life while driving don't let pissing off a reckless driver that does not care about his/her life needlessly take yours

  • Poolboy Q

If you’re going the speed limit I don’t see a problem

You are allowed to go over the limit to pass

  • Poolboy Q

They could increase every speed limit by 20 mph in the nation and everyone of you b****es in this thread would still go 15 over that

Anyone going over 15 + the speed limit is a reckless driver that doesn't value their own lives. It's not worth engaging with to be honest. Just move over and go back once they pass

  • shane

~85 highest in the US in some places, other than that Autobahn in Germany

Isn't Germany in kilometers tho, so not exactly 100 mph

  • Lu The Ruler

Isn't Germany in kilometers tho, so not exactly 100 mph

From what I’ve read, 130kmh is a recommended speed limit.

You won’t face legal repercussions for going faster than that (insurance coverage is questionable in a high speed accident tho, they could still say you were driving recklessly if you’re driving well above the recommended limit)

  • Poolboy Q

So you want “everyone” to drive fast like you, but if “everyone” drove the speed limit as god intended then it’s somehow hindering traffic. You’re a special kind of stupid.

The left lane is for PASSING why is it hard for you to understand this?

  • Broscodolo

People talk all this s*** about left lane being “the fast lane” but let a cop come through and all of a sudden the speed limit exists again

Cops won't pull you over for going over the speed limit to pass as long as you aren't going 10+ over. They may even let you slide at 15

  • earthwalka

Let’s call that lane what it is. It’s the speeding lane. It’s the lane you’re supposed to drive 20 miles above the speed limit.

People want to act like it’s just the passing lane but it’s not. It’s the lane you are meant to drive as fast as you possibly can and if you aren’t driving minimum 80mph, get out the way.

    This isn't true but ok

  • Poolboy Q

Why are Yall trying to make going the speed limit like believing in a flat earth thats crazy

We are human beings. Expecting people to maintain the exact speed limit and not go over it is not realistic at all

  • Poolboy Q

No, it’s speeders who make the world a living hell

speeding is not inherently dangerous, it's the difference in speed between vehicles that is. this is well established law in europe.

I agree, it's dumb as f*** and puts your life and others at risk. I bet it causes most of car accidents.

Mythbusters tested this, and the savings are negligible.

"Test 1: Carrie and Grant attempted to weave through traffic while the narrator stayed in one lane on a 46-mile route. While Carrie and Grant arrived first, the time savings were negligible (1:52), leading the team to conclude that the risky maneuvers weren't worth the effort (1:55-2:06).
    • Final Experiment: The team increased the complexity by filling four lanes with cars and having Tori act as the dedicated weaver. This test confirmed that while weaving did result in a faster arrival time, the difference varied from 4% to 25% (3:08-3:28)."

f*** man i miss mythbusters i used to watch it all the time as a kid

  • llama

when you’re in the right lane with cruise control on and you catch up to the car in front of you so you pass on the left and they speed up, so now they’re in your blind spot and invading your personal space and the cars behind you are catching up and now you’re the guy blocking the left lane so you have to speed up but you were already 7 over the limit on the right but the guys behind you are speed demons going 15 over in their f***ass lifted pickup or in a clapped out nissan

words cannot describe how much i loathe when people do this s***. highway driving would be so much better if yall just used f***ing cruise control man

Getting somewhere 25% faster isn’t negligible especially when you gotta be somewhere

F*** you op. I hate ppl like you on the road. And you consistently trying to defend it being okay to do what you do makes me wanna knock you out

People talk all this s*** about left lane being “the fast lane” but let a cop come through and all of a sudden the speed limit exists again

    1. It’s not the “fast lane”, it’s a passing lane
    2. No reasonable cop is pulling you over for momentarily speeding to pass someone, sustained high speed is a different story
    3. Most people don’t want to give police any reason to pull them over, so slowing down is a cautionary thing, not necessarily admission of guilt

I put it in quotes for a reason. I’m talking about the people that say those lanes are for going fast not necessarily just passing people.

And slowing down is an admission of guilt if you’re speeding lol

Everyone itt has white privelege going 15 over the limit while texting and s*** and never getting arrested for reckless driving

genuinely why do you need to be in the left lane if you're not passing anyone in the right lane
