Forgot to post this, and ain't read through any of the consensus. So not sure what others thought.
But I thought the clicker encounter at the end of the episode showed I haven't been asking for much when it comes to the action scenes.
It was well done imo. Knew the outcome obviously but wasn't for a second not fully absorbed. It was well shot and choreographed. The clicker felt legitimately dangerous. There was tension, stakes, all that.
That's all I've been wanting for those of you going on about 'oh you just want a horde every episode' and all the rest of your nonsense.
It wasn’t a clicker, but yea I know what you mean

I’ve been saying this too cause tension in episode 2 was fire . My main knock for episode 2 was shaky cam and Tess death done a lil funny but overall one of better episodes
Y’all got episode 7 over episode 5?
5 will go down as the best of the series.
For season 1 at least.

7 and 8 ideally should both be better
If any major villain goes on a monologue for the rest of the show
Monkey paw curls
Marlene

My memory is foggy on if after David, it goes directly to end game. It seems like a lot to pack into two episodes.

Its reasonably actually very possible in 90 minutes the only issue I think of is going from David to david betrayal to ellie killing david to joel torture to giraffes to ellie birth scene with ashley johnson to Marlene to knock out to Joel massacring to drive to distance to lie
In 90 minutes is a lot of emotional states and things to execute well

Right after David it goes to giraffe, they adventure to hospital through some underground high way tunnel, they are swimming and get knocked out by some fireflies when they get out of water cause they have no idea who they are. Joel wakes up in hospital. Stuff happens. Then ending scene “okay”
Can easily be done in 45 min

The show was a more accurate depiction of a Boston mall
But brick f***ing master wasn’t included

I just think if she was exploring an abandoned mall you could easily silence the "this episode didn't advance the plot " narrative
Haven’t seen this yet at all
But theres no way season 2 is even remotely similar to the game
There’s no way, ellie is john wick in the game they won’t pull that off in the show
They must be cooking up something very different to milk the Pedro Pascal fan service and overall I don’t see it being similar to TLOU2 at all
And don’t get me wrong I would love for it to be different and not following TLOU2 at all
Nah if they don’t follow Part II they’re absolute b****es pandering to haters who mostly hate it because they think Joel is their IRL father
Part 2 goated
