I didn’t know this show was getting 10/10s, I compared it to that bc it was getting overhyped itt. Critics been deaded for me for a while anyways

If they were / are going for realism there is plenty that doesn't feel real here. I to be clear am not asking for 50 kills from a 50 year old man but he only has like 3 kills

That level of violence is gonna feel extremely far-fetched. We should be getting the vibe by now that she has very much realised just how dangerous this world is and is ready to do what she must in order to survive, and especially now to keep Joel safe. That's not coming off for me at all - and it's gonna be very jarring when they do try to get to that conclusion.

oh yeah I have seen ya and you do focus on the dumb ones. I am just saying people like Dwindlingsun are discussing the show. The rest of the s*** I skimmed was mainly dumb s*** . @ilgnd I do get where they are coming from though. When you see a show get 10/10 and all that hype then you watch it and 6 episodes in it isn't doing more than it is in many facets you are kind of surprised on if its getting a bonus for being adapted from a game especially a game so inspired by movies and tv. So he is like "what is different about this from what we have been getting for 20 years". Same way superhero movies sometimes get that "its a hero movie bonus" its fair to feel like this is getting a "its based on a game bonus"

Wait until you see Season 2 and 3 or even the finale. I do agree though even though I only think only so much violence is needed. I think they haven't shown Pedro Pascal as enough of a protector to justify the fear heart attacks, ptsd etc. We have seen violent people in tv it doesn't have to show every kill or have a crazy high kill count to communicate the message. So I get where you are coming from. Especially because Game 2 is hyper violent.
