Apart from some narrative disagreements, I honestly think this is one of the finest gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

Will be a very long time before something reaches the cinematic esque feeling of this.

I felt they gave you way too much in the beginning, and I was going around collecting s***, but had everything on full already. Wanted to feel the need to find s***.

I’m not trying hard to hate on the game. Those sections just felt useless to me and felt like I was wasting my time.

I enjoy the game a lot more than when I first started it actually. But it’s still subpar for Naughty Dog’s standards.

He did say he would teach Ellie to play guitar in part 1. In times of peace he had no reason to be hardened like he was in the first. In part 1 he was still a bandit and couldn't even accept his daughter's death so he tried to forget about her but towards the end he accepts the photo of her. Remember Ellie was only supposed to be treated as cargo but he grew to love her so I'm not surprised he's shown that way in part 2.

Plus there were no opposing forces besides infected for joel in part 2, in the first he had all those hunters, david, enemies in the QZ etc. so he kept his guard up.
