this game is so f***ing difficult lol

What difficulty you playing on? replaying on hard now. Third play through gonna try survivor but not sure if I’m gonna start out fresh or new game+

There’s a lot of story and character to the flashbacks. can def throw the pacing of the game off and test patience but not filler at all

Watched some gameplay of the action and stealth set pieces. With the graphics and presentation, this looks like the most intense and anxiety inducing s*** I don’t remember tlou1 being like this

Hard to judge

That was literally one of the best parts of the game

we get Joel and Ellie at their happiest as they’ve become full on surrogate father/daughter. Joel mentions that he used to go to museums with his daughter. He’s in a better place that he can even talk about his dead daughter now. It’s cathartic for both of them since Ellie gets a fun birthday and Joel can be a father again reliving what he used to do with his daughter. Also sweet that Maria set it up for them but Joel went the extra mile and found the rocket launch cassette tape.

There is still beauty in the world. Fact that Ellie isnt completely cut off from the world pre outbreak and interested in space/dinosaurs is really heartwarming. Active imagination and all that too. Got me nostalgic thinking about when I was young or similar times with my parents.

Backstory to cat and dina in journals. Sad irony that her journal also mentions hope of going to space one day with the shuttle sketch but earlier in the open world Seattle portion she chides Dina for thinking they’ll ever be able to travel outside the US.

Trademark ND movie/cultural references. Joel s\*\*\*ting on Jurassic Park sequel was hilarious. Tommy joke was great too.
