oh man i met a lady once who owned it - that blew my mind, she was the furthest from what you would expect of someone who would have that in her collection, old country lady living with 13 cats and all that!

had a pleasure to look into it, def need to buy it - i just wish we get the rumored new boxset covering surfs up era soon it’s titled feel flows

ok this was great and actually a genuine top you can tell you did listen to all the stuff he’s talking about and makes his own take out of it

not sure about wild honey not having hits on the same pair as smiley smile - darlin’ is an incredible single and is the song daft punk named themselves after for their first band, title song is great too

surfs up album - should give more props to the new original carl songs (feel flows and long promised road) instead of continuously hyping the smile material, we know about it and he already mentioned it on the smiley smile and the 20/20 albums, i know smile is great but we’re really overshadowing stellar songs and groundbreaking productions

great honorable mentions i was worried he was gonna left so tough holland and all summer long without even mentioning them, very surprising he puts that’s why god made the radio in there too, i would put LA album instead

that guys channel is pretty cool. iirc hes some kind of (former?) b/c list actor or something lol, saw his name and looked him up once. you can tell he puts a lot of effort into his videos, he did the same even when he was smaller with like <10k subs iirc

that’s hard yeh im always suspicious about these videos bc it’s always phoned in and really takes based off of what the general consensus is yknow but that s*** was legit he def knows what he’s talking about

Whatever you have to do, swim, get a boat, get out there.

When you say Beach Boys the immediate picture that conjure up is "California girls", Brian Wilson, side of it, is Pet Sounds, Smiley Smile, 20/20, all those great albums which contains songs that are not surf songs, and those are the songs that really grabbed ahold of me in the sixties, especially Pet Sounds, it's just.. it's hard to describe what that music did to me, the melody being so strong, the musicality of it, there's not just 12 bar digadigadigadig, that's great stuff! but there's more, they transcend way beyond surf, into almost psychedelic pop songs, it gave me the vision to make wild sounds on the guitar! because if people could have a pop single that changed the key, it was long drone out, wheres two and half minutes was the max in those days, this really opened up the whole game for me.
