It’s a Batman sequel that’s one of Hollywood’s most anticipated films. It’s warranted big time cast and crew would flock this, especially after the first film which worked brilliantly off a far more limited casting budget.

First film had several Hollywood debuts and lesser known names in supporting cast and that’ll continue here. DC Studios in general has been routinely casting underrated names for big roles too. Brainiac a couple weeks ago for instance

    yea yea yea..

other actors exist tho, esp ones who dont already have a considerable presence in the mcu. doing it once w johanson was a reach, twice warrants the reaction.

bringing up how the first film managed to be a hit without this only reaffirms the point. even worse when a dcu superman sequel follows suit but a contained auteur elseworld trilogy feels the need to overcompensate

The regression take is just as bad also. Not only have we not seen the film yet but it's crazy to think any progress should go up in a straight line

Do you really think Reeves just sifts through an MCU scrapbook of headshots to cast or something? Maybe they simply fit what he’s looking for.

ScarJo wasn’t even the first option and is said to have directed her team to absolutely make this work. Maybe there’s a genuine desire to cast them because…..of their skills

If you have to start canceling out casting because that persons been in other movies before it gets silly. Like they’re not owned by other franchises and have resumes outside of them. Why not just see how it turns out

It’s really not as big of a deal as y’all are making it out to be. The MCU has released 38 films, that number goes up to 50+ if you include all of their television shows.

These are actors whose job it is is to be hired to perform roles. They don’t have any attachment to one sole franchise

It's like getting mad at Josh Brolin for taking the roles of Thanos and Cable in the same year lmao (back when they were separate)

o yes ofc thats wat i really think..

all the actors in the world he's the one and only fit? i guess lol

cool she wasnt the first option. so what if shes already cast now. no one said they're not skilled. just that there's a plethora of other actors who are as well

'other movies' is reductive but ok. nobody said its doomed to fail or that their performances will be bad either idk why u jumped to such negative conclusions about a minor critique

8 ft purple cgi alien and human male are not registering the same on screen beyond an easy to miss voice by the average viewer. disingenuous comparison
