Idk how this man continues to stay this consistent damn near 30 years into his career.
The man's quite literally a machine.

this is great
Bledsoe is the one, insane sample, loved mikeās verse and Alc sampling a Dylan interview for the project with these guys is so dope. In particular I felt like the words he picked about writing and meaning apply to Mikeās writing a lot
Compared to a lot of recent collaboration projects with more than one MC, they really exceeded my expectations as far as going back and forth on many of the tracks rather than just doing isolated verses. This is so dope
yo Wiki has had the most insane run of rapper producer collabs from the last few years
NAH, Navy Blue, Subjxct 5, now Alchemist
About to spin this for the first time.
What's y'all initial thoughts?
Best Rap album of the year
As much as I loved the beats on the great escape, some of these could be considered some of his best beats this decade so far. This album is hitting me like voir dire should've. Mike and wiki compliment each other nicely. Mikes run rn is insane.
I wish Wiki, especially MIKE, wouldāve touch on more of the bullshit going in NYC on Mayors A Cop

NAH had the best one if you ask me.
That switch up at the end of Thug Anthem activates my autism
These beats got me feeling like Ben Affleck in The Accountant listening to em
Mike is being slept on as an MC, the way he has innovated rapping is insane
Elaborate on how he's innovating please, really interested to hear your thoughts?

2 words: rhyme schemes
Never before Mike has there been someone who rhymes this much
All of his verses on this album and basically on all albums, he says one sentence and then rhymes every syllable continuously for the entire verse and never changes the rhyme scheme
Itās just relentless. I shouldnāt even be dropping these jewels right now because he has changed my view of rapping more than anyone since doom, heās that innovative, his style is completely unprecedented

Thereās lots of rappers who have a knack for this before Mike though. Blu is one that comes to mind that does it a lot.

As a huge Blu fan, no thereās a big difference. Blu does not have the same rhyme style, can you send even 3 Blu verses that stick with the same rhyme scheme for the whole verse?
The other part of it is Mike sticks with the same flow too. Every verse he spits, he picks one flow, one pocket and one rhyme scheme and just continuously repeats that scheme over and over until the end. Blu changes his flow and rhyme way more.
