I get the framework of the movie and what Nolan was going for but I still walked out confused as hell
that being said the movie is great and super entertaining to see all the inversion. the interrogation scene at the mid point was crazy to see
need a rewatch with subtitles tho, glad it wasn't just me. honestly had to question my hearing watching this lmao
definitely need to rewatch with subtitles.
so many scenes with the characters are wearing masks or on a f***ing boat and its hard to hear the dialogue.
in imax the sound was perfect i didnt miss a single dialogue
wth is wrong with your theaters

Pretentious as f***
y'all hilarious
Pretentious as f***
Agreed and it’s wack but the ‘it’s your theatres
’ narrative ain’t true.
Nolan has asked for s*** like this from his sound team since TDKR
nah man yall legit deaf
ive never had a problum with nolan sound mixing
lmao
Same
for example:
first time neil and protag meet, first time watching it it was like funny banter, second time u watch it you feel a different emotion coming from robert pattinson, theres something in his eyes, its like hes seeing an old friend again

JDW and R Patz bromance is too strong
last act was confusing, are they going back in time to stop the explosion from happening or ? in fact how do they go to certain places in time using the machine
been thinking about this thebaffler.com/the-immediate-experience/tory-porn
Finally seen this tonight. Gonna read through these pages and see if anyone has some interesting theories
BRUHHH i literally looked at my gf next to me and said the sentence in sync with the russian fella
That was such a cliche line lmao
But Russian guy was pretty dope antagonist
personally didnt watch this for the character development or anything like that
but i was happy with what i got
Then why do you s*** on Inception for these reasons you dweeb
So a couple things after my first watch
I could hear everything very clear in my cinema, no bad dialogue audio whatsoever
My main issue with the film is the same i had with TDKR: stakes that are ridiculously big to the point where they aren't tangible anymore. We see them talking about all this crazy s*** but i never FELT the danger as much as i should have felt it. I ended up caring more about the woman being freed from Russian dood and seeing her son, even though that part could have been fleshed out some more too
One thing i didn't understand, they talked about ''don't meet up with yourself in the past, if your particles come in contact bad things will happen'' or something like that. Then after that he fights himself. That didn't make sense at all but i probably just missed something so if anyone cares to explain this to me pretty please
The setpieces were amazing, way more ambitious and crazy than the Inception setpieces. But overall i felt like the Inception story was a lot more cohesive and better for me on a emotional level. Some people complain about the lack of emotion in Inception but i never got that tbh, Nolan's most emotional film to me after Interstellar
That moment when she threw him off the boat looked so scary and real lmao. Great moment
