So a couple things after my first watch
I could hear everything very clear in my cinema, no bad dialogue audio whatsoever
My main issue with the film is the same i had with TDKR: stakes that are ridiculously big to the point where they aren't tangible anymore. We see them talking about all this crazy s*** but i never FELT the danger as much as i should have felt it. I ended up caring more about the woman being freed from Russian dood and seeing her son, even though that part could have been fleshed out some more too
One thing i didn't understand, they talked about ''don't meet up with yourself in the past, if your particles come in contact bad things will happen'' or something like that. Then after that he fights himself. That didn't make sense at all but i probably just missed something so if anyone cares to explain this to me pretty please
The setpieces were amazing, way more ambitious and crazy than the Inception setpieces. But overall i felt like the Inception story was a lot more cohesive and better for me on a emotional level. Some people complain about the lack of emotion in Inception but i never got that tbh, Nolan's most emotional film to me after Interstellar
That moment when she threw him off the boat looked so scary and real lmao. Great moment
Don’t remember exactly cause my audio was f***ed but I believe she said something along the lines of not making contact with your future self unless you/they are wearing some sort of protection

Ah okay my gf already pointed out that the suit he was wearing maybe was the protection you are talking about. That makes perfect sense. I guess i didn't pay enough attention when they were explaining this in the film
Second watch felt like he could of utilized the concept to make something more emotional tbh
Watched it the second time and realized the tag from Neil's backpack is shown three times. The Opera theatre where he inverts the bullet when the Protagonist gets caught with his fake badge, the cage door where the bomb is placed his body is already sitting there before it reverses and blocks the bullet the Russian guy shoots at the Protagonist and the end scene when he's walking away towards the helicopter.
Also noticed that the blue and red is used also at the Freeport vault when both JDW and RP are entering the vault through seperate doors. One is red and one is blue.
To me it seems like there is no definite answer for the movie and some of it is up to your thinking.

Yeah its the suit. Theres a scene where hes about to timetravel and someone tells him about the protective suit and he responds by saying we dont have time for that or something like that

Ive been thinking abt the film ever since i stepped out the cinema and for the most part i loved the overall experience but i also cant help but feel it might be one of Nolans most flawed films at the same time
but i enjoyed it, thats all that really matters anyway
Theres no way this is better than Inception tho, that film was a lot more cohesive to me with more realistic stakes and better emotional moments

She already loves Arrival & prisoners we finna watch enemy soon
Nolans first real miss
Washington not fitting for the role tbh, but not his fault
Brannagh was good, somehow most believable in this, probably because the other characters are incredibly shallow. You dont really feel anything for them.
Nolan made a mid movie
I think it is good but definitely bottom in his filmography
I think it’s his most mid movie
I think this, Dunkirk or Following are but they still manage to be a 7.
