His co sign means more to me than rotten tomatoes
supergirl is never gonna be treated seriously again
Morbius got Sony beating their chest after this
I don’t think that like 1-2m more has Sony hyped lol
This s*** probably won’t even hit 200m damn
At least they stumbled early on so they could learn from this and maybe avoid something like this in the future
Marvel having The Marvels bomb was like a big hit to their confidence because they had 15 years of dominance
This is year 2, so struggling early on might be better for the longterm health of the brand
movie so bland the meme potential (minecraft, minions, morbius) isn’t even there to save it lmao
Gonna have to read the comic now. No idea how they managed to misinterpreted the ending of it when Tom King himself had credits on this movie.
From what it seems, the movie would of been far more interesting if it closely followed the comic. Even the idea that the story is mostly from ruthye pov and supergirl is like a myth figure would of been cool and different for a superhero movie. And i dont see how a timeskip for one scene would of been something not allowed
When we are stuck with just Batman and Superman movies in like 4-5 years I don’t wanna hear #them complaining about it
But also they gotta start with the top dog characters now lol. Also if booster gold isn’t casted perfectly scrap or wait on that…
Why is Variety going so hard on Milly now lol scummy ass company
https://twitter.com/variety/status/2071249763882643832It’s less about Milly and more about Gunn.
It’s less about Milly and more about Gunn.
This post is from a month old quote though just feels weird they’d bringing it up now. They know what they’re doing.

When they announce a new WW writer and new film coming in 2028 this week>>>>
$38M is like whatever at this point. Imo trackers should have been more realistic earlier than later. That Global Box Officr page specially just exaggerated the “strong” presales for weaks
$68M WW is a complete nightmare. I was thinking $75-80M which is already bad enough. Like that is significantly lower than every famous CBM bomb fans joke about.
The first real Supergirl movie should have been an origin film I’ll keep saying it. Good or not, making the first Supergirl movie an adaptation of woman of tomorrow was always an uphill battle box office wise if the film was anything less than one of the greatest superhero films of all time upon first watch. Origin stories are necessary, mandatory even for building a new audience amongst the general public for a superhero character in live action. It’s vital conditioning
Superman 1978
Batman 1989
Spider-Man 2002
Batman Begins 2005 after live action Batman’s reputation went down
Iron Man
The Avengers
Ofc these films are all amazing, but culturally they were what the characters needed because the origin-based nature of their stories conditioned audiences into looking to care for what these characters are about at their core.
Supergirl being bad is an added problem to its performance, looking bland from the get go didn’t help with interest from the general public going into it. But it should’ve been an origin film
Also James Gunn should have written and directed a Woman of Tomorrow movie ironically

They gotta do something lol
Maaaaaan when I thought she’d have this look as Kara I was so hype

I mean it kinda is an origin story in a way but the origin part was too short. Shouldn’t have cut the krypton scenes.
Supergirl today
Movie was whatever. Like Blue Beetle or Ant-Man 2 tier.
Milly looked disinterested. CGI went downhill after she donned the suit. Ending was stupid.
A female led superhero movie about saving girls from being trafficked should be a slam dunk in theory.
Hate how the character has to be artificially depowered to build any sort of challenge or conflict or whatever.
Positives were the Supes cameo (which was miles better than anything else in the movie) and that Tom Cruise career recap sizzle reel with the Digger trailer they played right before the movie.
Also how long ago did these people land on the planet that she was using a f***ing Walkman lol.
Once again, I’m anticipating this a little bit more than Superman. I don’t know why, I just have the feeling this s*** is going to greatly surpass expectations
Why is Variety going so hard on Milly now lol scummy ass company
https://twitter.com/variety/status/2071249763882643832Better question would be what are your favorite women lead films or shows
He was high
