i’m hoping they’ve learned from and adjust some of their mistakes made in the main game for the dlc, far harbor was some of the best content in FO4 so there’s still hope we could get something really good
Far Harbour amazing
I'm glad they s*** the bed in this instead of Elder Scrolls though, hopefully learned something

I’d love to see them pull off a Cyberpunk-esque comeback, but since the backlash against Starfield isn’t as intense as it were for CP77, it doesn’t seem likely.
No doubt they’ll keep updating the game with minor improvements. However the issue lies in the fundamental design of the game. Their overreliance on the "Bethesda formula" gave off the impression that they played it a little too safe.
I still think there’s a decent game in there; the gunplay can be engaging at times, even though it feels generic in an ocean of a million shooters, and I was immersed in the space dogfights despite how straightforward they were.
Speaking of immersion, that "thousand planets" marketing gimmick worked against them in that aspect. It got old pretty quick seeing the repetitive environments and enemy encounters. It’s shocking to me that they thought that s*** was good enough for the final product.

I just wish they would’ve shown off the game more in depth before release. I won’t say the 45 minute showcase they did a few months before launch was deceptive, that was basically the final product, but I think not showing how the game actually played minute to minute is what ultimately lead to a lot of people feeling disappointed and mislead.
People got overly excited thinking we were going to get a true next gen space exploration game, when in reality that’s never what the game set out to be. If they had managed people’s expectations by showing off what the space travel and planet traversal was really like there wouldn’t have been nearly as much discourse and disappointment. But of course they didn’t do that because they knew it wasn’t what people thought the game was and it would affect sales.
The most we can hope for now is that the DLC adds some good story content and features that gives players a few extra enjoyable hours on their save files but I don’t think they’re ever going to be able to truly fix it in a way that could live up to the pre release hype.
can't imagine playing this after a long day of work when I come home
like this game feels like extra work

real interesting how niggas in this sxn become professional critics about this game, but are also hyping up MW3 (which is really just a DLC pack)
BGS trying to convince bad steam reviews they are mistaken about this game sucking
love to see the hate boner this game is getting and so glad Todd really s*** the bed with this instead of beloved Elder Scrolls/Fallout. Either take the wake up call or retire, Todd.

Instead, he'll do neither and s*** out Elder scrolls 6 then retire
Called it when I said Bethesda needed to evolve their style in a post-BOTW/Witcher 3/Divinity/Cyberpunk world.

Revisiting Fallout 4 right now and even on that game which isn't super beloved, it still has a sense of wonder and you constantly have unique encounters and find interesting stuff when you're exploring. And survival mode makes it a classic for me. It's crazy the degree to which they threw that out the window.
