And I will say the space cowboy simulation they went for is definitely something I feel like only this game has scratched. Yes there’s loading screens but it’s still works and is impressive to me. Bethesda got me back to believing they might pull of elder scrolls 6 now

'Starfield' to be a "one-&-done" franchise for Bethesda?

I know this dude doesn’t work at Bethesda anymore, but he was a key designer on Starfield, and his statements kind of make me believe the upcoming Starborn expansion will be the very last one..

I mean when would starfield 2 come out, 2034-2036? Not losing a lot there and I feel like there is still room for new people to pickup starfield as is (I’m a good example I have not played but def would for the right price)

Hypothesis regarding a Starfield 2’s launch timing aside, it’s a bit surreal to think we’ve seen the last of Starfield after it’s been propped up as a new mainstay Bethesda IP (they loved to mention it’s a game “25 years in the making” in its marketing lol).

But ultimately it’s the right call to abandon this franchise since the Elder Scrolls and Fallout should be their main priorities.

I mean Obsidian could work on a spin off of Starfield after whatever Fallout project they're doing. Which is what should be happening. Bethesda working on their mainline games and Obsidian releasing spin offs.

But ain’t The Outer Worlds kinda similar and considered superior to Starfield
