Because Sea of Stars doesn’t have the f***ing eyeballs of a STARFIELD. That’s why I made that thread. That game didn’t even HAVE a thread.

I didn’t mean the act of making the thread I just mean how you got a positive reaction from an indie getting the same score. A huge ambitious AAA getting the same score is much harder yet you reacted so differently. I feel like it should be good vibes and anticipation itt now

Based on reviews it feels like everything i assumed was right. Exploration is ass once the novelty wears off and the RPG elements aren’t going to be very deep.
That said no maps, bad inventory systems and bad fast travel are disappointing. Better side quest writing and much improved combat are both surprisingly good touches tho

randomly generated areas are suck a gimmick lol

like I would much rather have a pre-designed level that someone actually put some thought and game design into making

Fallout as directed by Todd Howard's Bethesda game studios starting with fallout 3 (2008) followed by fallout 4 (2015) are awful

It's definitely not harder. It's almost impossible for a huge AAA game to get below 80s. Especially if it's first party. Indie games score below 80 all the time

Tons of AAAs have gotten 60s-70s recently

But also what I meant what this game specifically, not AAAs in general, starfield is bigger and more complex than most of those, and people had high expectations and were grading harder than sea of stars for instance, or even your average new AAA like forspoken, is my point

It’s called hype and expectations. 88 is a great score by the way.

Means the game is as good as Horizon: Forbidden West.

damn this sounds like me in the music sxn

niggas will gas and hype up anything indie and then s*** on/nitpick mainstream titles

interesting how this phenomenon is in every entertainment sector

BECAUSE THE BIG HYPE ARTIST DOESNT NEED GASING.

    THEY GOT MONEY BACKING THEM!

    THEY ALREADY HAVE AN AUDIENCE.

Name these tons of AAA games scoring below 80, bro. Even that dogshit Hogwarts got an 80 something. A game literally has to be broken in some fundamental way to get below an 80 as a AAA title. Off top of my head the only first party AAA game to get below 80 in recent years is Redfall

Forspoken and redfall were the first part of just this year, ok I’ll get a long list hold on
