Where to next?
Italy, Hawaii, Australia (after I man up & forget about the spiders…).
Was gonna do Switzerland December too but I’ve heard mixed things about it as a black man 🤔 Kinda wanna check out Tanzania & South Korea too, this traveler told me they have cool ass people and baddies
wow nice pics
did u use a travel guide or did ur own thing
Had a itinerary which you can definitely steal off Reddit and add your own modifications, but also recommend just going with the flow. When you’re in a hostel, it’s east asff to fall into someone else’s plans

Hit up Kauai for a few days. Not many people
@op didnt we talk about Japan before lmao I’m glad you had fun bro, these pics are dope
How much did you spend in total including flight tickets?
In my personal experience tickets expensive as s*** I think I dropped like over 1700 on a round trip cuz I waited too long to book lol
glad u had such a blast bro

You’ve been? That s*** sounded pretty common…

Was debating Kauai or the Big Island. Initially was going to do Honolulu cause the homie said Waikiki was fun, but then I read how packed & touristy it was. F that lol
Did you recommend any activities in particular by the way for Kauai?

Was $1300 for the ticket initially but I pussed out and canceled. So when I rebooked , ended up being $2k…I definitely messed up but I thought f*** it (this was booking through this Chase Rewards program).
As far as overall, maybe $3.5k? Japan really isn’t as expensive as you’d think - food was cheap asf everywhere, I’d spend $5-$7 on meals. Only way you’ll run up a bag is if you collect souvenirs - there ARE a lot of cool things you’d wanna buy, like anime stuff, cultural stuff. What did me in was the clothes, dropped like $400 on that smh
Japanese drip is insane though, never seen such fly people & I’ve been to NY & LA
i live in sydney
That’s that main place I’m honestly thinking of going, maybe Melbourne too. What’s some activities your recommend? I’m into gagging fun, meeting people
7 week solo europe trip #loading...
I'll be solo travelling Europe for nearly half of my 6 week trip soon too
glad u had such a blast bro
You definitely encouraged me in that other thread appreciate you. Great thing about doing things like this too is you ‘level up’ internally , like now I feel I can go wherever without waiting on friends

I live in Melbourne and theres lots to do in that regard, I haven't done much travelling as an adult but I saw a TikTok where someone said to google "interesting things to do in ____" which I'm gonna use for my own solo travel this year, this stuff came up for Melbourne, some of it I might try myself before I leave in a couple months

Probably did bro, I spent so much time overthinking it lol. It’s common I’m sure for many people especially when it comes to a overseas decision, but glad I did it cause like I said previously, it really does aid in growth.
I spent almost a week in Asakusa which was nice cause it’s Tokyo but pretty out the way. Then Osaka for 4 days, then back to Tokyo at this spot called Sotetsu Fresa Inn. All my hostels were fine, but man was it nice to have my own space and peace and quiet by the end lol those crowds & business are no freaking joke
Sounds fun but I’m never making friends in hostels. I dislike hostels in general though

If you’re not into the sharing space thing I can get that. You can get private rooms / bathrooms too though, my very first spot was a private room before I went full on dorm- bunk bed style my next spot lol

I'm saying, it's really empowering. I would not be the guy I am now if I didn't do the crazy "fuck it lets find out" type of traveling in my late teens and early 20s. S*** was foundational in turning me into who I am today.
I remember my very first big solo trip. I went to NZ at 18 to a do a bicycle tour. 10 weeks. I was in Christchurch at the hostel and it was my first night and I just started crying. I had a real crisis of confidence, wondered what the f*** I was doing.
10 weeks, 1000 miles, and 700ug later I knew exactly what the f*** I was doing. No more games, playing around, etc. Felt like i landed on that island a boy and left a man
been trying to go to Japan with my wife since 2020 bro maybe next year is the year finally
