Less successful version of Pol Pot for me, I cannot say anything positive about the man or his movement tbh. There are a few communist leaders who were worse than useless and I would count Gonzalo as one of them (which is generous given that he barely led anything)

Also cheaters would have an unfair advantage! the whole schooling system is actually compromised in a way if you think about it cause cheating and enabling cheaters would be a huge business.People didn't get assigned jobs but got job offers

Cuba is pretty GOATed, they managed to do democratic centralism/vanguardism while also building grassroots democratic participation. Their political system is pretty advanced and surely a reason why the system could stay as long as it could despite all the sanctions

does anyone else in here give mutual aid? i'm thinking about where to put my money. sometimes i think it would be more "effective" for me to focus all the money i set aside for mutual aid on one person so they can get their goals met faster, but then again spreading the money to multiple people in smaller increments reaches more people? idk.

I periodically do soup kitchen work and worked in a renters union from the start of the pandemic till about a few months ago
