I don't really care what its called. Its what separates us from animals
my man did you not JUST bring up Combat Liberalism? what do you think Mao meant by this?
"To hear incorrect views without rebutting them and even to hear counter-revolutionary remarks without reporting them, but instead to take them calmly as if nothing had happened."
"To see someone harming the interests of the masses and yet not feel indignant, or dissuade or stop him or reason with him, but to allow him to continue."
You can't monopolize discussion in a communist space by forcing people to conform to "polite" standards of conversation, this is another form of liberalism. Its also a classic means of racists and sexists to shut down conversation by making black people and women seem hysterical. Your usuage of "animals" is a bit too on the nose.
Constructive participation can be muffled by not telling people the hard truth when they’re wrong for the sake of “respectability”
You have no idea what I actually was arguing for. You just jumped in the Convo to be dismissive. Which is exactly what I was criticizing
ive been thinking about this during my time at encampment
Tone policing, respectable language, and the like was a massive facet in our internal politics
just the result of the western environment subsetting a lot of political action and replacing it with s*** that you can in theory change and it just so happens that its the most trivial stuff that makes noones life easier past appearances. basically a symptom of peoples political reality
westerners are generally concerned with politeness in all aspects of life and it can probably be traced back to some kind of European parliamentary tradition but thats way above my head so dont listen to me

Ok I think this is the last time I'm gonna respond about this cause you clearly seem to constantly be misinterpreting me. I don't know if it's you being malicious but either way it's boring.
Those quotes don't even back up your argument. If you read the full text mao is suggesting that comrades should make criticisms of each other in constructive ways and not keep their opinions to themselves. That has nothing to do with insulting people

I'm just saying you shouldnt be so hung up on people's tone since it is a slippery slope. what matters is arriving at the truth in the most economical way necessary. different scenarios call for different tones. should you randomly insult your comrades for no reason in a lighthearted discussion? no. but is it sometimes necessary to insult someone for their bigotry or biases? yes, since it cuts through the bullshit of liberal respectability.

And I would have to say I don't agree at all.
Question. You previously said your political views are from Stalin and mao. Do you think those men would agree with you on organizing and respectability?

well youre wrong, sorry. Mao wrote a polemic against politeness and respectability. Lenin was famously snarky and rude to his political opponents and Stalin was often painfully honest to even his most trusted comrades in public. You dont know what youre talking about (as usual) and thats ok.

1.Give me the source for the mao text. Cause I feel like your misinterpreting it.
2. Are you talking about like kautsky for example? Cause if so he wouldn't just throw rabid insults at him. He would write some of the most well thought out texts ever proving him wrong.
3. This doesn't back up your point at all

I already gave you the quotes, that you choose to misinterpret them is your problem. Not sure how you can take "be indignant to counterrevolutionies" incorrectly but you are probably the sort of person Mao is talking about.

I take it as meaning you should make well thought out arguments. Not insults

im sorry big dog but the kautsky quote is yours this week

Except by that point Lenin had wrote multiple well thought out pamphlets rebuking the second international. So obviously at some point his arguments would be redundant. That still not what I was arguing against

Lenin was not a gentleman, he didnt stop communicating with the SI out of pragmatism (though obviously he had no practical use for them as well). He considered their thought so inferior that stooping to the level of "discussion" with Kautsky would only serve to legitimize his revisionism. You cannot have "equal discussion" with counterrevolutionaries and revisionists since they will attempt to steamroll you through rhetorical trickery and bullshitting. This is actually part of the reason Lenin was such a polemicist, they couldn't stop his pen game.

Do you or do you not agree that that guy shouldnt have insulted me since I wasn't being rude?

yes I do, because in that interaction he was the one who was incorrect. but on general principle I'm not against people using that tone if the circumstances call for it. thats all I'm saying. its one thing to be rude and honest, its another to be smug and wrong. the latter is liberalism.
They shot Marx with the bronchitis gun cuz volume 5 was gonna be titled "The Yakubian Question"
Just got off the phone with Mr. Global J.D. Pon-South and he said Bangladeshi textile workers think you're a liberal

aljazeera.com/news/2022/9/26/cuba-overwhelmingly-approves-same-sex-marriage-in-referendum
Cubans have overwhelmingly approved a sweeping “family law” that would allow same-sex couples to marry and adopt, the electoral commission said, in a move that will also redefine rights for children and grandparents.
More than 3.9 million voters – 66.9 percent – voted to ratify the new code while 1.95 million or 33 percent were opposed, National Electoral Council President Alina Balseiro Gutierrez said on state-run television on Monday.
Yeah not like it was a democratic decision by Cubans or anything...
