Happy to announce that Omaha Tenants United yesterday established the first formal Tenants Union in Nebraska history. Our collective demand letter that we will be delivering to the landlord has gathered 100 signatures, and yesterday the tenants voted unanimously to unionize. The landlord had heard about the meeting prior and attempted to intimidate us by having a cease and desist sent by the lawyer based on complete bullshit legal premises. OTU and the tenants proceeded anyway and they were too p**** to try to show up or anything. Will have more details soon after we get our press releases out in the coming days.

Possibly even more exciting - knock on wood - is that we have nascent unions building in two of the landlords other complexes.
