they really managed to capture the true fragility of life with that moment, really one of those special moments in film that transcends the screen
Mf pissed me off had rocks for Brains I was waiting for him to die by the end !
This is infinitely better than the Irishman and parasite, probably better than honey boy too since it’s literally a perfect movie
Easily better than Irishmid but Parasite? F*** naw

Irishmid
How have I not come up with this
Parashite is an overrated garbage flick
You can love multiple movies. You don’t have to trash one great movie because you like a different one more

Jokes on you I was trashing irishmid prior to seeing UG
Can’t get enough interviews about the process behind the making of this film. The way they built the crew, how the soundtrack came together, all the incarnations of the script- need to rewatch this

You really think Gems is a perfect movie? I love it but idk if I would go that far, it’s prolly my #1 but idk if I would say it’s infinitely better than Irishman and Parasite.
I have been watching it for like 3 days straight tho. So that’s very telling. Only watched Parasite once and Irishman twice.

I think it means more to me, because of how well it portrayed the gambling addiction, which is something i have dealt with personally
Also, the way the characters talk at the same time, kinda feels like how the thoughts in your head go all over the place when you're addicted
The way those aspects are meshed so well together, as well as the score and the cinematography, it's just so well done imo
Then comes the ending, which i felt was perfect for that situation, and I can't really think of many things I would have changed to make this movie better

I’ll give you legit links in a minute but Film Comment had one a few days ago, surprisingly The AV Club had a f***ing great one with them that came out today, and Complex just published an oral history of the production process. Those two sites are like the nadir of film writing so I was shook lol
