EverestLove linklater and I went through a new wave phase like many people did, but this doesn’t look very interesting to me. A movie about the making of breathless, shot (faithfully, to my eyes) to look like breathless.
Seems like two layers of like inside baseball that cancel each other out and makes it seem like there’s nothing there to actually connect with or enjoy. Although I’m hoping it goes into the thoughts and energy that went into the genesis of new wave and that’ll be the actual meat of the movie

I just meant personally I went through a phase where it was my whole personality, the coolest films I thought I’d ever seen, was making my own imovie new wave style edits of movies and recreating their typography etc lmfao

probably the horniest film ever made even though it's miles in comparison to it. just a hunch of 50s rock n roll, crime movies, and comic books
