ryuHI agree they been light on first party games THIS year but their library as a whole is impressive imo especially since we only half way through the generation
If they don’t do the rumored Showcase and announce some new first party 2025 titles I might be worried but I’m willing to bet the showcase rumors are true. Also third party may as well be first party this gen because Sonys third party exclusives can’t run on Xbox or Switch anyway. FF16 was supposedly a timed exclusive and still ain’t make its way to Xbox yet. It’s been “teased” but that’s about it. Only real place you can play Sonys 3rd party exclusives other than PlayStation is PC and there is still a HUGE segment of the market that just prefers to game on console.

Aye look now ragnarok a classic folk I just stopped playing that a few months ago after beating it twice on GMGOW and beating the dlc on the hardest setting
Can’t wait to dust off Ragnarok, GhostofTsushima, SM2, Horizon FW, TLOU 1&2, Ratchet & Clank and GT7 when this drops

so you are telling me you played a game that cost how much to make once ? for 70$ that you dont need plus or internet to play yet that is long term sustainable for the gaming industry. Then suddenly everyone is viewing all games as equal competition and says "well this isnt ragnarok or spider man quality" which is unrealistic to expect other games to all look and play like movies. Suddenly all game companies are trying to make that and are shutting down rather than being fun to play they are focused on being fun to look at. "oh no we dont have a pro mode gamers wont pay attention to us because they just burnt a 700-900 hole in their pocket and they want to jusitfy it. They dont want other art styles they want to show off in photo mode, they want ultra realism they want reflections. Lets add that to the game even if it doesnt make sense"

Microsoft Confirms Price Increase For Xbox Series S And X In Japan. In a press release on its Japanese website via Famitsu, Microsoft confirmed that its latest consoles would be seeing the following increases: Xbox Series X: 59,978 yen (£319.44/$406.65) → 66,978 yen (£356.72/$454.11)

I mean it’s 2024 man devs can’t expect games with 2008 graphics but “great gameplay!” to continue to keep their studios open
