Development was cancelled many years back, but appears to have resumed. Too much smoke for there to not be any fire. Originals definitely still worth playing, I'm going to spin them again soon

the original ones are absolutely both worth playing. two of the greatest games ever made

development hasn't "resumed". They started work on a different game in 2020 hat was codenamed HLX and that's been in continuous development since then. It prob won't be called Half Life 3 outright but it (hopefully) will be filling that role

I just mean they're working on a HL successor again
