The term “bundles” in this context refers to pieces of merch that are sold with a copy of an album to count as an album sale.
For the third time: Drake stans are still incorrectly using “bundles” when they are talking about “physicals”
It's literally a bundle with merch god you people are daft
Billboard did not acknowledge them so they did not factor into the sales
I don't care what Billboard elected to count or not in the end, the intent was to create a merch bundle to incentivize people to buy the album for its connection to clothing and autographs instead of the music

Autographed physical copies are extremely common
To be fair, Drake stans regularly use the term “bundles” to discredit other artist’s numbers when they’re talking about physicals. They’ve done it to both Kendrick and Travis
They still doing it I’m crying
I was wrong about DAMN. having t-shirt bundles, I was not aware of that. But Billboard did not note them in their write-up of the sales, so they must have not counted for some reason
Travis has, Kendrick has not (the ones for Morale did not count for the first week sales because they did not ship first week)
And there’s been times Travis has not used bundles that Drake stans have said he did (4X4 going #1)

Artists are allowed to sell merch. Drake literally has an entire merch storefront on Amazon.
This conversation is about merch being used to boost album sales. In the case of DAMN.: they did not

There was intent
The intent don’t matter though if the numbers didn’t count. Merch bundles only matter when they artificially boost an artist’s actual total

Again, Kendrick is not even in my Top 5 bruh
1. Kanye
2. Drake
3. Future

353k physical units in 2017.. and you're saying none of those were bundles.
Billboard stopped counting bundle sales in like 2019, why in 2017 would they have not counted the sales? It was pretty acceptable as a strategy for sales back then no?
