WESLEYS THEORYNah lol Pitchfork literally the only publication to give it a lower score so far and probably will be the only one. Everyone else I’ve see has been ridiculously high.

even at the time it seemed like sites like Pitchfork were overrating DAMN a bit because the critical consensus around Kendrick was so unbreakable coming off the back of TPAB

I liked Damn but this deeper and better imotbh my main thing is that like i appreciate the components of the song separately than i do together if that makes sense? Like the subject matter and introspection is always welcomed but when it comes in the form of a song, the most important thing to me is how it sounds. Damn sounds great to me and i love the content. Content carries this album more-so than the music itself, I could see why someone would say its his best or his worst tbh
