The essential notion of a capitalist society is voluntary cooperation and voluntary exchange. The essential notion of a socialist society is fundamentally force.

The beauty of capitalism is that as consumers demand more in the way of climate conscious practices, companies are forced to implement these things in order to retain their customers, which is something you see everywhere these days. Much more efficient than taxing and relying on the government, which wastes money

this is purely theoretical. If people really did do that s*** companies like Nestle and Nike and all that would not exist

also doesnt account for the reality of the situation

if a certain energy company has a monopoly or close to monopolistic hold over a state's energy production, the consumers cant simply "choose" for it to go green without putting it under public control ... good luck boycotting PG and E in CA

proponents for swedish capitalism ignore the imperialist effect it has on the global south

You do realise corporations can’t exist unless there’s a demand for their products right?

Again I have no problem with companies but we should be holding them accountable for the bullshit they do similar to how people are tried in court. Stop paying for damages done after its been done and actually jail them or knock them down.

This is all pertaining to the environment

Corporations control our political sphere, large swaths of the media, and forcibly instate monopolies- all of which create artificial demand.

When Verizon and AT&T spend millions lobbying to maintain their oligopoly over internet services, what alternative do we turn to in order to stop "demanding" their products?

If government was smaller - like it should be - then government wouldn't have any power that corporations could lobby for
