The beauty of capitalism is that as consumers demand more in the way of climate conscious practices, companies are forced to implement these things in order to retain their customers, which is something you see everywhere these days. Much more efficient than taxing and relying on the government, which wastes money

ah yes this is going great so far. 100 companies responsible for 71% of emissions. the 78% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck PRE COVID were definitely in the position to make ethical purchasing decisions rather than simply keep their head above water. california is on fire again. legislation or re-allocation of control over natural resources definitely could not do a better job than the free market. thank u milton friedman

At least capitalists can accept and admit it’s not a flawless system

Marxists can’t, they believe they’re ideas are flawless, I think that says a lot in itself

    Synopsis

Man really said the free market will solve climate change

Never said it’ll solve it, climate change is an extremely complex issue. More complex than anyone in here is likely willing to admit

You Marxists really think communism will fix things. As though the demand that humans have for products will just disappear under communism. As though the scarcity of resources will miraculously disappear and there’ll be a sudden miraculous abundance.

All you people have is “leave it up to us, we have all the answers, and this time-it’ll work”

    capitalism

i consider myself a social democrat tho

I think we need to regulate as little as possible

however, there should all ways be a social security falling net

Noone should ever be homeless or not have food, the state should provide that

Corporations and their autocracy is the real enemy. I would have no problem with current capitalism if that other s*** was nipped in the bud. Literally all this devil s*** accelerated when the gov saw businessed as people

You do realise corporations can’t exist unless there’s a demand for their products right?

  • why should I even care about this question
