Sounds like Johnny might be everything I thought Ainias would be
And it also sounds like Ainias will not be making this team lol
6β² 6β³ slot
6β² 6β³ slot
Them trying him in the slot is what tipped me off, cause Kellen likes to move his receivers all around. A guy like Covey who is having a good camp too is pretty much ONLY a slot. If Johnny can plan inside and out then heβs a factor in the passing attack and run game as a blocker
Never been more sure weβre winning the superbowl than after reading that ESPN article this morning
Merrill Reese in the Football Hall of Fame?
Merrill Reese in the Football Hall of Fame?
Yes
greatest eagle of all time
Re-watching the game and man, Jalyx Hunt looked really f***ing good
Jalyx Hunt is gonna be special
I didn't even see this post before I made my just now, his movement is different from just about all of our other edge rushers, including Nolan
Also, if things continue how I think they will, Trot Jr. will be one of our starting LB before the end of this season
I don't know who the other one will be lol
Man a lot of the young guys on defense really showed out on Friday, very encouraging stuff
yikes, hes not making the team
Yeah, I don't like calling for a young player's job but him making the team would be based on being a draft pick and not his own merit this offseason. It'd be one thing if he was just a young player and inconsistent, that's normal and you live with that. From the reports in practice, as well as what we saw in the preseason game, he has been consistently BAD.
i said it til i was blue in the damn face
getting out off the Haas business was the BEST move by this FO this offseason
addition by subtraction
yikes, hes not making the team
π¬π¬π¬ you think this making the vlog??
π¬π¬π¬ you think this making the vlog??
Who vlogs?
Who vlogs?
Ainias lol
I lowkey knew what it was when I found out Ainias was a vlogging ass nigga but I wanted to give him benefit of the doubt lol
Seems like Becton is the RG and Steen is the backup. Rewatching the preseason game, Steen didn't look bad so this might be the case of someone with Becton's physical gifts just being too much of an opportunity to pass up for Stoutland
I'm gonna be honest though, if neither seems to pan out, I wouldn't mind trying Trevor Keegan out on the right side. He looked really good at LG
I'm usually one who hates dropping edge rushers into coverage, but I spent enough time studying the Fangio scheme (the REAL one from the guy himself, not these bootleg versions we've been running) to understand WHY he drops his edges into coverage and what he's hoping to accomplish if done right. It honestly made perfect sense if executed correctly, and we saw a bit of it in the first preseason game. Idk if he's going to be a bit more vanilla tonight or show some more, but the logic is sound and does still find way to generate easy pressure.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, we are going to see a lot of it this upcoming season lol, don't be surprised but also give it a chance. With the other DCs we've had, it seemed like they did it just to do it. Fangio does it because he can 1) Confuse opposing passers and 2) Still generate pressure opposite of the edge rusher who dropped out

Bro Trevor Keegan is gonna be nasty, we need someone like him on the line
Man plays dirty
I think they let him sit for a year tho, next year i think he takes over

Like he looks READY, I know the OL ain't a glamor position so he gets no buzz but he's looking damn good. I'll be keying in on him tonight as well
I need to see McKee start next week to see what he can do with a better line/weapons and against a better defense. Give this dude a chance to earn the QB2 job
Your eyes are not fooling you, Nakobe has been our best LB this preseason
