I think Teyana really has a shot at that Oscar. People will talk about her lack of screen time but she’s unequivocally the main character for the first act of the film. That’s gotta count for something.
She’s got supporting in the bag
One thing I noticed was everyone was a rat when confronted
2/3 of Willa's friends didn't fold when they wanted her number
this was a lot more bold than I was expecting tbh I thought he would be more wishy washy on the “politics” due to the budget, it’s true that all fades into the background a bit though

On rewatch she killed it
Would be very deserved, in her argument with Leo she does a subtle job of showing how she's self-sabotaging cause of how guilty she feels
2nd watch definitely helped me appreciate more of the direction and character nuances
and, the score, I'll take back what I said
it's just as good as all the other Jonny Greenwood scores

Score is amazing
This was incredible. But I have to do a second watch, my first viewing was lowkey ruined, the nigga next to me was howling like a hyena the whole damn movie dog
Literally laughing out loud at the top of his lungs every two seconds, at s*** that wasn’t even supposed to be funny
Thought I was tweakin
Felt like there were lots of times my crowd was howling at scenes that weren't supposed to be funny
Also felt like despite penn's good performance, I didn't really like his character or hate him enough because he was a goof the entire movie
how do we feel about Bob not getting a Hero moment in the third act? he doesn't do anything to help his daughter.

I think it's hilarious, he literally fails at everything he does in the film and that's actually wild for a main character played by the biggest movie star in the world; is such a bold, subversive choice

I like it. I like there’s no character development, rather just characters doing their best. It would make no sense for him to “save the day”, instead he does what he does best, be there for his daughter
Not a fan of pta most of the time but this gets stupid press and I wanted to see it anyway
