Overhated
People didnt get the movie to a large degree. I see why this won best picture.
Hope the best picture race this year is less internet arguing and people who watch all the movies but time will tell. Just now completing
backJTThat’s all you’re dumbing my argument down to besides the fact that the writing isn’t that good, the characters don’t have a real reason to be radical. They just are, instead of focusing on anything that’s really revolutionary. Also, it feels very much like a fetish film. The movie just sucks to me. Like I’m not sure what the motivations are for their movement to even exist besides to tear s*** down. They never even stay an actual anti-capitalist or anti-patriarchal or anti-white hegemony type of view. Then there’s like several scenes where it just doesn’t make sense like, why does the cop do not die just for him to comr back.
That is literally the point of the movie she says it were supposed to be fighting the revolution winded up fighting the demons of self.
She should have settled down raised her daughter made that her revolution but she was addicted to the thrill. Which lead to her killing then turning on the people she loved most which betrayed her soul
It isnt a stereotype it isnt Tupacs mom at all. Isnt what a lot of people said this movie was.
