I need to watch some of these foreign films
at least eo and argentina
who saw marcel? need to still see that

Lmaoooo that article has to be satire “Everything Everywhere is, to me, as a filmmaker, one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen. For someone to make a movie with a nearly all-Asian cast and tell this crazy, mind-bending, time-jumping story? It makes me believe that it’s possible to not have an Avatar-sized budget and not be Baz Luhrmann or Steven Spielberg and still make something that’s personal and cultural and can still be thought of as a potential best picture Oscar winner.”
Geeze let this person be happy I see nothing wrong with these comments
I’m all for Ke Huy Quan winning but it’s starting to feel more like ppl are voting on ‘what will be the best story’ rather than ‘who was the best actor.‘
All this “it’s never over in Hollywood, this actor is long overdue’ makes it seem like they’re voting based on the wrong thing.
Ke Huy Quan winning is a great inspiring story and I’m sure everyone will be crying during his speech BUT he definitely isn’t the best actor in that category… not even 2nd or 3rd
Voting for s*** outside the film is never cool but he’d pretty easily be my pick. Haven’t seen Brian yet.

"If we're to dissect it, Top Gun is a red-state movie."
"The Fabelmans is one of the worst movies I've ever seen."
"I just saw Banshees of Inisherin, it was so funny and so good, and then I was like, ugh, why does this all-white, all-straight movie have to be good?"

"Director: I'm going to vote for Everything Everywhere All at Once wherever I can. I just saw Banshees of Inisherin, it was so funny and so good, and then I was like, ugh, why does this all-white, all-straight movie have to be good? I really want Everything Everywhere All at Once to win because it brings out the word "Original" in the title of the award. My favorite thing I heard: I went to a screening of The Fabelmans at the DGA, and I was sitting there with women of color director friends, and after it ended, I was like, "Can you imagine if you made a movie about your life trauma? If your biggest trauma of your life was your parents got divorced, and your dad's reaction was to buy you a camera?" We had to beg, borrow, and steal to get a camera to make a movie, and this b**** just got handed an editing system. Would I have been Spielberg if somebody handed me that? The woman behind me stood up and said, "Only Steven Spielberg could look at Michelle Williams and say, 'That's a Jewish woman.'" The Fabelmans was a beautiful science fiction film about straight white male privilege."
i might never go to a theater/buy a blu-ray again just so i don't accidentally end up supporting this person

The hate everything that’s “white-male-straight” narrative is getting tired. And ima nigga saying that
Also the “red BAD, blue GOOD” narrative is tired too. And I’m a nigga who doesn’t rock with either side saying that.
