People don’t even see the story implications of Garp vs BB. All they care about is who’s stronger. The OP fanbase is so weird

Garp is probably going to die. His defeat/death will have to happen if the story wants to move forward.

In regards to the second part of what you spoiled, what makes you say that?

BB has always been set up to be one of Luffy’s rivals. His main rival on the pirate side. His actions led to Ace being captured and eventually killed. His recent moves like capturing Coby, Pudding and ambushing Law further prove that. Law will also have to be defeated. This all Oda’s setting up the eventual battle between the BB Pirates and the Strawhats.

Also certain story threads will be addressed when Garp and BB fight. Such as BB’s connection to Rock D Xebec, what side does Aokiji truly stand on, BB claiming Fullalead Island from Wang Chi and how Coby and Law played a part in it.

It just irks me when newer OP fans look at the story from a power based perspective and not a story based perspective( which is how Oda writes the story). It’s writing 101.

I agree with all your points, the one drawback that I have and idk if it's just head canon or what I still firmly believe BB will kill Shanks. Idk if we're going to see him kill Shanks AND Garp. Otherwise all your reasons are valid.
