yessir, firm ass tempurpedic. I think i need an eye mask and maybe go to sleep with some airpods. i am so accustomed to halving 50% hearing if that makes sense with one ear in the pillow, and dark visuals from looking into the wall/sheets and not the room around me.
Just don’t get a heavy mask or one that’s too tight
Used one and woke up the next day my s*** was all blurry so I had to stop

Going to bed @op but I’ll write up some stuff I got from my therapist that helped me
Need to get back on a proper sleep schedule tomorrow

@op how's the sunrise alarm doing for you?
That sunrise alarm changed my life.
As human beings, we need sunlight within an hour of waking to get that feeling of alertness and get rid of that feeling of being groggy.
The sunrise alarm provides that, albeit at lesser capacity than the sun.
While previously waking up took all my willpower in my pitch dark room in the winter cold, now it has become really managable.
Buy a sunrise alarm.
Here's a great video on what to do and what not to do if you find yourself waking up in the middle of the night.
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpdRKmLePaQI also recommend that if you struggle with falling asleep in the first place to start ritualizing your sleep to a higher degree. Make a cup of herbal tea and sip on that as you do some gentle sleep yoga. Just 10 or so minutes focused on the body and the breath to really slow down and get out of your own head in preparation for a wonderful rest.
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m63PXVOyNC0If you still find yourself lying in bed for 20-30 minutes and focused on how you're still not able to fall asleep, get up and do some more stretches, put on some calming music, make another cup of tea, and then try to sleep again. The more you lie in bed awake, unable to sleep, the more you are training yourself to lie in bed, awake, unable to sleep. It's gonna be tough at first but eventually you'll reshape your relationship with your bed and soon enough you'll be falling asleep in less than 10 minutes every time.
I also find that just journaling for a few minutes before bed helps me get thoughts out of my head that might stir up anxiety, better allowing me to let go of the waking reality and slip into the dream world.
Something I also do if I wake up within an 30-60 minutes of my alarm going off (yes I look at the clock lol) is to just get up. Then I have extra time in the morning to relax to the highest degree possible. It's not extra time to get more work done or be more productive, it's extra time to simply enjoy the human experience.
I also recommend that if you struggle with falling asleep in the first place to start ritualizing your sleep to a higher degree.
this is what i've been wanting to do. get a good routine in. I actually had just started before work screwed me over but I'm going to get back on it.

Bed - only use for sleep and s***You should fall asleep in 10-15 minutes
If you don’t fall asleep in 15 minutes, get out of bed and room and do something peaceful and quiet. Read a book, listen to music, etc but no screens
Go back to bed
If you can’t sleep repeat until you fall asleep in 10-15
No naps
Being tired the next day will help reset the pattern
Keep doing this until you consistently fall sleep in 10-15 minutes
Some people takes about 4 days to get into a routine, some 7-10
Most effective treatment for insomnia
More effective than medications
Go to bed within an hour of sleep time, wake up same time every day
White noise

I need to get woken at the right time man. Makes all the difference for me. Thinking about getting a Fitbit style thing that wakes you up w a vibration when your heart rate is at the right level when you’re in a light sleept, anyone experience with this?
